Location: Dolphin Hall, Seacraft Hall
Date: month 12, day 1 of Turn 7

Relik,
I am writing to hear how things have been going with the new dolphin
pod that's been assigned to the Seacraft Hall. While I'd like to come
and see for myself, the birth of my son Ahimell has made traveling far
difficult for the time being. I do hope to come and check on the pod
myself when the time is right.
Regards,
Famell

Famell,
Congrats to you on the birth of your son. Offspring are very important
and can be a source of pride in later turns. The pod is doing well and we
are working on integrating them further into daily operations. Of course
there are many opportunities with which to do so. Been focused on the
success of the maiden voyage of our new engine-ship.
Relik

Relik,
Glad to hear the pod is settling well. If you have any trouble just
let us know. I'll be out to check on them as soon as time and
commitments allow. Oh, how I wish I could have been there to see the maiden
voyage of the new ship. I cannot wait to see her for myself! It will
be such a huge help to all of Pern to have a ship that can run without
having to rely solely on the wind.
Famell
---------------------
Famell,
I believe that it will cut down on ships being stranded in dead calm
as well as cut journey times which can assist passengers in getting to
their destinations without running into bad weather. Perhaps you can see
her the next time you come. She has made quite a few journeys now.
Relik
--------
Relik,
I look forward to not only seeing her, but taking a trip on her when
next I visit. I wish I could say it would be soon, but perhaps you
will be _here_ sooner. Shilara and I are _finally_ going to get that
wedding underway and we'd love to have you join us for the celebration.
Also, we've got a good chest of lights you requested almost ready for
shipment. Naton is gathering a group of dolphineers to come and teach
all who are willing and able to learn how to use them. We know they
will help you just as much as they have helped us.
Famell
-----------------------------
Famell,
Simply tell me when and I will endeavor to arrive barring another hurricane.
We didn't have much damage, mind, but it was an early test of how strong our
foundations I'd like not to repeat for some time. I believe the lights
will assist
us during bad conditions as well as at other times. Will Master Naton be coming
with the lights?
Relik
--------
Relik,
We are looking at having the celebration around Turnover. We would
definitely love to have you here and any you wish to bring with you. I
believe Naton planned to send one of our highly trained journeyman in
his stead as he, too, is involved in some wedding planning of his own.
However, if you feel _he_ himself needs to come, I will speak with him
on it further. The lights are nearly ready for shipment. I shall
message you again right before we send them.

The old seacrafter sat back and rubbed his chin. So many weddings down at the
dolphin hall. Perhaps it was something in the water there? Or the need
they had to
breed more dolphineers since it was still viewed as a northern,
progressive craft.
That was why they were near the Weyr because none of the other seaholds would
take them.
**Famell means well and they are helpful to my sailors so I will deal with them.
Poor man having to train women-women!-to craft. Faranth help him.**
