Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 10, day 6 of Turn 3

M'kel knocked on Pacham's office door. "Hello, you wanted to see me?"

"Yes, wingleader, thank you for coming," the Weyrhealer smiled.
"Please, have a seat."

"Thanks Pacham," M'kel said, doing just that. He hadn't interacted with the new Weyrhealer that much, but he felt a lot of gratitude to the healers in general. Barely a scratch left on him or Ragorath, even if it was a two month recovery. "What exactly did you want to see me about, the apprentice wasn't vert clear on that?"

"It's one of your wingriders. Bluerider A'se." Pacham pulled out the rider's chart. "It seems that the bluerider is not making as swift a recovery as we would hope, though he is back in the fighting wings. Now I know how badly you need every rider you have, but I would like to recommend that he be grounded temporarily."

"Really?" M'kel said. He did need every rider he could get. "I won't argue with you, but could you tell me a little more about A'se's injury?"

"Well, sir, its not so much the injury that concerns me, though he should have made much more progress than he had now. His flexibility and muscle strength should be much more improved than it is. This can pose a problem in that he could over exert himself and case strains or tears. But what _truly_ concerns me is his negative mentality. It's making him angry and bitter towards my healers, and towards his recovery, and I dare say towards the world in general."

"I'm sorry, I didn't know," M'kel responded, a little sadness in his tone. He almost felt he had failed at his first test of leadership, not recognizing a rider in his wing needing help. "It is a poor excuse, but I haven't spoken personally to everyone in the wing yet. Is there anything else you recommend Weyrhealer? For his body and his attitude?"

"Well, I'm hoping that being grounded will scare her into taking these things seriously."

"Yes, that usually is one thing that will get through to a rider if nothing else will," he said with a weak chuckle. "Should I recommend he see a mind healer? Attitude is as important as physical health in the air, and I take that very seriously."

"I was hoping you would see it that way," Pacham nodded. "He really needs to get his perspective after the accident."

"Yes, many people have had to," he said with a slight sigh. "I thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'll speak with him immediately."

"Thank you. His first appointment with the mindhealer is soon.
Hopefully there will be some progress made."

"Yes, I hope so too," M'kel said, rising from his seat. "If you don't mind Weyrhealer, it appears I have some business to address. I hope next time we speak, its under better circumstances."

"As do I," The Weyrhealer nodded and held out his hand to the Wingleader.

M'kel gave it an enthusiastic pump. "Thanks Pacham." After that M'kel turned, and left the WeyrHealers office, heading for his own.

**Ragorath, can you ask Donneths's rider to visit me, at his convince? And stress that its important?** Even though his first instinct was to talk with A'se immediately, he realized he should speak with his second first.
Perhaps K'deren had some more insight on this issue.
