Tavia

Tavia walked beside Sawauth as they came into the dragonhealers cavern
to have her dressings checked. It had only been a minor wound on her
dragons shoulder but anything was a scare as she herself could attest.

"Hi," she said to the waiting apprentice. "I believe Sawauth has an
appointment?"

"I'll get W'ser." The apprentice bobbed his head, obviously a little
unsettled at talking to the beautiful greenrider. The young boy
scurried away and in moments the Weyrdragonhealer made an appearance.

"Tavia," he smiled, and then looked over the woman to the green dragon
that was with her, "and Sawauth. You're both looking well. How has the
shoulder been?"

"Well she's itching so that's good right?" Not that Tavia liked the
constant complaining but she loved Sawauth and had tried to keep her
comfortable as she healed.

"That is usually a good sign." W'ser agreed as he pulled over the step
ladder that they frequently used when working with the injured
dragons. "Let me get a look and we'll see." He said as he climbed up.

Tavia was fairly sure her own healer skills had been steering her
right but she was thankful for his confirmation.

Sawauth elevated her wing out of the way as he climbed up to inspect
her. Her neck curved so she could watch carefully.

"Is that good?" Tavia relayed the question.

W'ser regarded the injury with a critical eye, his face revealing
nothing for a moment before he glanced down at Tavia and smiled, "It
is, actually. The wound is healing up very nicely. It won't be long
before the hide completely repairs itself. Then you'll just need to
keep it well-oiled for a while, the same way when she was a dragonet.
Probably another sevenday and she'll be ready for the Wing again."

"Oh that's great!" Tavia smiled and hugged the snout pressed against
her. "But she's going to rise fairly soon. Will she be alright for
that?"

"Sure, she should be fine for that. Most females won't rise until
they're ready and able." He said as he descended the same ladder he'd
used to get a closer look. W'ser thought that statement was pretty
true of human females as well.

She lifted her chin in acknowledgement and couldn't help the smile.
"Good," she said. She'd had a long dry spell at Dragonsfall and could
use a good tumble. At least with flights she never went more than a
few months.

"Is there anything special I need to do for her in the meantime?"

"Just continue to have her take it easy and keep an eye on it." W'ser
recommended.

"I will and thanks," she smiled. Sawauth crooned to her and sent a
wave of love. Though she still wanted to be in the air with the rest
of her wing and strained at the restriction her eyes still whirled a
happy blue green at the Dragonhealer. "She says thanks too."

W'ser inclined his head to Sawauth, "You are both very welcome, of
course. If there's anything you need just let me know."

"I will," she grinned and walked out with her green beauty.
