"Hey," Sharev greeted the journeywoman as he dropped the rolled-up map on the table beside her. "We're planning some rescue exercises. Interested?"

Irabel glanced up from the map she had been examining to the one that was now resting next to her arm, then let her eyes slid up to the man who hovered above her. "Rescue exercises? You mean, beyond what we normally do?" As she spoke, the hand closest to the newer map curled about so she could unfurl the parchment to study its contents.

"Yes." Sharev pulled out a chair and plopped down onto it. "Something bigger and more challenging. And something that might convince the undecided to chose our speciality."

"What exactly do you have in mind?" The map could tell her where, but not exactly what plans the masters had made. Irabel didn't mind such exercises. Shaking things up could be very educational.

"It was Talern's idea," Sharev admitted. "We plan to use existing wrecks to practice salvage and ourselves to practice rescues. Something a little more…authentic."

"That could indeed be useful." Irabel paused a moment, then looked up at the man who hovered over her. "If you are going to 'use yourselves' in the way I think you mean, we'll need to be certain there are fail safes in place, just in case."

"Of course. Drowning isn't part of the plan. We'll have help on standby the whole time." Irabel nodded and perused the map he had marked. "When do you wish to do these exercises?"

"I'm not sure of Talern's timeframe at this stage. We'd have to find a suitable wreck and the right time. I just wanted to garner interest first." Sharev looked down at the map and mused. "Are you interested?"

"Of course." Search and rescue was Irabel's specialty and if they were going to work anything in that vein, she wanted to be a part of it. "Just let me know what you want me to do."

"Will do. In the meantime, have a think about unusual items for retrieval. Things which can be salvaged but will also sink. We want something unique. The more the better."

"We could try a vase, maybe?" That was one thing, but Irabel wasn't sure how unusual it would be. "Maybe a wheel? I'll...I'll give it some thought."

Sharev nodded. "I suspect it might be a bigger challenge than we thought." Especially since he and Talern couldn't think of anything unique apart from themselves.

"Perhaps instead of unique items, we could do items with unique markings." Irabel wasn't sure what sort of unique things they could do unless those items were particularly valuable, and not items to be used in an exercise at all.

Sharev frowned in thought. "There's an idea. We could use -say - two barrels, but mark one in a certain way and have that be the salvage, with points taken off for retrieving the wrong one."

"It might be easier than trying to appropriate unique items - often those cost marks." Marks were not something to waste, and Irabel would prefer to keep things from getting out of hand. "Just let me know what you wish me to do in regards to preparations and I'll do it."

"Will do." Sharev rose and picked up the map he'd brought with him. "Thank you journeywoman."

"Of course." Irabel nodded to the master, then watched him go.
