"Oh my, sweet Faranth!" Ueltin breathed when he saw the destruction. After two sevendays in Reed Delta Cothold, he had gotten a chance to visit the Seacraft Hall. A dragon ride was a rare treat for a journeying harper, unless your sister was a dragonrider like his.. He had heard of the Hurricane of course, but Reed Delta was so far away that they had avoided the storm.

"Yes, it was bad," Uetia said and directed Sirjath to land on a cleared area.

"You're sure everyone is all right?" the harper sounded anxious.

"I would have told you if something had happened to Uegot or his family," Uetia assured him. "It's not that we make a habit of softening the blows."

Ueltin laughed, a deep, melodic sound. "No, we don't. It's all out or nothing," he agreed. He waited until Sirjath was fully landed before continuing. "It's so nice to seem him again. It's been too long since I saw any of you."

"Yes, it has been. You're a hard man to track down," Uetia replied and dismounted. She didn't check if Ueltin needed help, knowing that he didn't. He had ridden enough times on dragon back. Ueltin slid down next to her. Uetia was a tall woman but next to her brother, she looked shorter. But then Ueltin was exceptionally tall, even for one of their family. He wasn't as muscular though, having more slim build.

Allegro popped out of /between/ and landed on his shoulder with a warble. "Hey, blame the Hall for sending me all over the place," said Ueltin.

"YOU!" They both turned towards the bellow. They saw Uegot stride towards them. What followed was lot of bear hugs, back pounding and maybe even moist eye or two. Allegro decided he needed safer place and flew to keep company for Sirjath.

The three of them sat around a crate, eating, drinking wine and catching up with each other's lives.

"So, Nerylyn and kids are in Citrus Bay now?" Ueltin asked.

"Yes, it's pretty drab here right now," Uegot replied. "The Hurricane really smashed the place badly."

"And here I thought that you were breaking things again," Ueltin said, tongue-in-cheek. Uegot threw a piece of cheese at him, which Allegro deftly snatched from the air. "Hey, don't give cheese for my flit, it gives him indigestion! And you're not the one who has to deal with firelizard with tummy ache," Ueltin protested.

"Sorry, I didn't think he could catch it like that," Uegot was impressed at how quick the brown was.

Uetia could only laugh. It also made her realize how much she missed this familiar banter between siblings. Only thing missing was friendly wrestling match, although Ueltin had usually avoided those. He could outrun all of them. "Is it worse than baby with tummy ache?" Uetia asked.

"Probably not, he does it /between/ like dragons, so no mess to clean after him," Ueltin replied. "So, when do I get to see this baby of yours?"

"I don't know. I'm not bringing her here in these conditions," Uetia said and looked pointedly around herself. "Guess you just have to come to the Weyr to meet her."

"Guess you just have to give me a ride there," Ueltin replied. "I bet dad was all smitten with her."

"Totally. Worst case of grandpa - syndrome I've ever seen," Uetia confirmed.

"I have a kid too," Ueltin confessed.

"What?! Who, where, with whom?" Uetia asked with surprise.

"How did that happen?" Uegot asked.

"The usual way," Ueltin replied to him first with a shrug. "His name is Tianan, he's five now and lives in Vista Point Weyr. His mother is a greenrider."

"Next time I go that way, I'll visit him," Uetia warned with a wicked glint in her eyes.

"Oh, boy, I better warn his mother about auntie Uetia," Ueltin laughed. He decided to deflect the attention away from him. "So, Uegot are you and Nerylyn just going to settle for four children?"

"Well, she's been talking about having a baby again," Uegot said and didn't seem too happy about it. She was quite petite and he was afraid something went wrong and he lost her.

"Not too excited about it?"

"I do enjoy the baby making. It's just the next nine months… I'll spend them fretting over her," Uegot replied.

"Pessimist!" It was Uetia's turn to throw food.
