G'nir entered the meeting room E'naer at his heels. This time he felt
more confident than the first time he had a class of Weyrlings to
graduate. This time he had been following their progress, had taught
them from the day one. He took his seat, nodding greetings.

E'naer had been the one carrying the hides, big surprise. He organized
them to the table before finding his seat. "Are you excited?" he asked
from Genna. Seeing her Impress, train and graduate and now graduating
_her_ gold's first clutch made him feel priviledged and reminded him
why he stayed at his job while the Weyrlingmasters came and went.

"Very!" Genna said with a big, proud smile. She'd been following the
Weyrling's progress as much as she could with her already busy job.
She'd greatly enjoyed watching them grow and learn together, knowing
they were all Lissath's offspring and recognising little traits of
hers in them. "Looking forward to seeing where they'll all end up."

D'ale entered and grabbed a nice fresh cup of klah. "How is everyone
this morning?"

"Very well," E'naer replied with a grin. He considered this a happy day.

"Excited," Genna added with a smile, sitting back in her chair and
toying with her bracelet a little as she waited for the rest to join
them.

G'nir nodded at him. "Where's K'reyel? Has he sent any word if he's
late?" As a former Weyrleader, G'nir knew how easily it was to get
derailed.

"I'm here," K'reyel said. "I just slipped back to my office to get
something." He held a hide in his hand. "The gaps in my wing,"

G'nir nodded. "Now, with everyone here, we can get to business.
Graduating Lissath's Clutch. There's currently two weyrlings grounded
due injuries. A'kua was Scored in Blooding and Vaulua's Green has a
wing injury. Considering how accident prone bronzerider A'kua seems to
be, I recommed he will be placed to midlevel wing after Heale's
release him for duty. Do you need a bronzerider, D'ale?" G'nir asked.

Genna wisely remained silent. Everyone here probably already knew
A'kua was one of her best friends and she didn't want to be involved
in this decision, coloured as it was by recent events. This one was
best left to the impartiality of the others.

"We do actually," he nodded toward G'nir as well as K'reyel. He smiled
at the others. "Young bronzes sometimes get a bit ahead of themselves,
but Torerath is always ready to mentor." Actually he was quite pleased
with the placement. From what he'd seen of the latest weylings this
rider actually had a good head on his shoulders.

"Good, I'm sure he'll fit in Cyan perfectly," E'naer said while
playing the role of secretary and writing it down.

"Vaulua I recommend for Queens' wing," G'nir said. "Her green will take
a time to get back to full flying strenght," G'nir continued after a
nod to D'ale's direction.

**That's good** Genna thought to herself **D'ale and Torerath will
look after them**

When the conversation was brought to Vaulua, Genna felt more at ease
to speak. "I think that might be wise. I spoke with her at some length
after she got hurt and Vaulua's really spooked by what happened. It
would be good for her to get a little more used to the reality of
Threadfall before putting her under the stress of a higher level
fighting wing."

"Exactly," E'naer smiled. "She also has to overcome that fear."

"Now, there are one brown rider and two blues I recommend for the
Azure wing..." G'nir continued.

D'ale nodded. He knew G'nir had thought long and hard about the
assignments and was liking what he'd already seen of the weyrlings
that would be assigned to Cyan. "I could use another pair of greens
to thicken up my right group," he thought outloud.

"Perhaps Luzea and P'kit?" Genna suggested, looking at her files. "Or
did you have someplace else in mind for them, G'nir?" Genna quickly
added, not wanting to speak out of turn.

"There's C'ban too, a reliable, even tempered green for Cyan," G'nir
replied, slightly annoyed that she was interfering with _his_
business. "Katean would also fit into Cyan well."

"I could do with a a couple of blueriders," K'reyel said.

"I have three I think would fit Azure perfectly," G'nir replied to
K'reyel. "Take your pick," he slid the hides of the riders in question
for him to study. "All thee have good performances and have done well
as group leaders."

Genna hid a frustrated sigh behind her hands. What was the point of
inviting her if they were just going to ignore her input? She'd have
to come up with a more subtle approach for next time, perhaps.

E'naer reached out to pat her encouragingly to the shoulder. "You're
trying," he whispered to her. "That is so typically bronzeriderish, if
it isn't their idea, ignore it." He made a mental note to teach her
how to slip in stuff under bronzerider's nose at some later date. He
had been wingthird so long he had learned all the tricks.

"Thanks," Genna whispered back with a thankful smile, feeling quite
reassured at E'naer's words. Perhaps it wasn't her fault, then. She
had so much to learn still!

"Well that's all I had," D'ale said, oblivious to the exchange between
the green and gold riders. "Is that all the weyrlings?"

"Yes, that's all," G'nir replied.

Genna just nodded in agreement, eyeing G'nir with well hidden annoyance as she waited for the meeting to wrap up completely.
