J'darin

J'darin

His eyes opened slowly and he pulled the warm, female shape closer to him still. It was Traelyn, he knew. He didn't have so many bedpartners that he would not recognize the feel of her against him. A slower smile curved his lips as he recalled the night before in bits and pieces.

A gentle kiss dropped to her cheek. "Good morning, Weyrwoman. I trust you enjoyed the Hatching.. and the festivities after?"

"Mmm..." She shifted, nuzzling sleepily against his shoulder. "You know I did." Her voice was low, husky, and her touch on him was tender as she slid a hand up his side.

He smiled, enjoying the first easiness between them in a few sevendays. He pulled her in tighter against him, intending to remember this moment.
There wouldn't be many like it, he knew.

"Traelyn? Are you awake enough to talk, or have you other activities on your mind?" He finished archly, caressing her side lightly.

She hid a yawn against his neck before looking up at him, blinking sleepily. "If you give me a little incentive, J'darin...I can do either."
Her dark eyes flickered up at him, a smile hinting at her lips.

Well that was nothing if not an invitation, and he tabled what was on his mind for the moment.

His blue eyes lit up with pleasure and he rolled a little, pulling her on top of him with ease. "I think we'll wait on the talking then, lovely Weyrwoman. Why waste a good morning in bed... " He pulled her down for a kiss then, when suddenly the date flashed into his head.

He paused then. "Oh shards, Traelyn!"

"There is Thread today! And in only a few candlemarks." He hugged her briefly, then started to untangle them from each other. "And you, lovely, can lead your Wing again!"

"Oh shards! You're right!" She sat up once he'd rolled out from under her, and she rubbed her face, trying to get herself to sharding _wake up_.
Thread... How could they have forgotten?

}:You would have remembered, Trae. Hasaarth and I would have reminded you both. It does not fall until this afternoon.:{ "Even still," she muttered, watching J'darin as he rose from the bed.

Hasaarth relayed the same message to his own rider, causing J'darin to blush and grin like a schoolboy. "It seems we had a little more time to play, Traelyn.." He winked at her as he stood to his full height, stretching, without a stich of clothing on yet, and then began to search for pants at least.

"There is still much to do. And my fool of Weyrlingmaster will have his hands full with Weyrlings only a few candlemarks into Impression and Thread too!"

He found pants and returned to the bed for a moment, leaning down to kiss his Weyrwoman soundly. "We have to continue this.. discussion.. later, hmm?"

Traelyn grinned at him once he released her. "Mmm, yes. And we have much to dicuss." She stretched, throwing her arms above her head and linking her fingers, letting the sheets fall from her, aware of him watching her like she'd been watching him just moments before. When she opened her eyes again, she smiled at him, holding out a hand. "Help me up?"

"Woman, you're not encouraging me to go be a responsible Weyrleader, moving like that..." He _had_ watched her, like a starving man watches a stew cooking.

But, smiling, he pulled her to her feet with ease, at the last minute pulling her a little roughly against his only half-clothed body. "Later, then."

"It's a promise," she murmured, unable to keep herself from pressing a kiss to his lips.
