G'el was bringing Sabia from Far Island where she had ended up spending whole the time.

"She didn't stay with you, did she?" Uetia asked suspiciously after the initial greeting were over. She loved her brother but he wasn't the most responsible one and was likely to teach children bad habits. The bluerider had few weyrbrats of his own which were left to their mothers' care ( or fostermothers').

"Naw, she stayed with Seluda's duo, with their fostermother. She's been shamelessly pampered by them. Took her also visit dad and the rest in the Hold. I bet my knots that some of our sister-in-laws may now be talking to their husbands about more babies," G'el grinned. "She really is a sweet baby. Does have her way to get what she wants though," he continued.

"She is that,"Uetia agreed.

"So, what now. I heard they'll close River Bluff Weyr. Are you coming to home Far Island Weyr?" G'el asked with serious tone.

"No, I am going to Dragonsfall," Uetia replied. "I heard their waterball team needs reinforcements," she grinned lightly.

"Why? Why not to Far Island? All your kin lives there, it's home," G'el asked.

"Exactly because of that. There I would be known as your sister, wingleader's cousin and U'das' nephew. And Far Island isn't my home, River Bluff is. At least in Dragonsfall, I'll be my own person, standing on my own feet, carving my own path. It's a fresh start, away from the past and all the memories," Uetia replied and find herself blinking away tears. She didn't have a free hand to wipe them out. Other one was in a sling and other one held Sabia. G'el hugged them both wordlessly.

"You need help getting there," G'el remarked after the moment passed. "I've been scored to the arm, I know how difficult being one handed is. Getting straps on Sirjath will be impossible for you."

"I've had help, but you're welcome to help too."

"So what now, where are you going?" Tamah asked from his little sister.

"To Dragonsfall Weyr," Drumilla replied.

"Where she can learn from the best, me," Taren added. He had been going between River Bluff and Dragonsfall past sevenday. He still had his duties as a Weyrhealer and Thread didn't stop falling just because people suffered.

"Still the cocky brat," Tamah grunted.

"It's called self-confidence, us _master_ crafters need it," Taren retorted, jibing his brother for not reaching the rank of a master.

"What are you going to do, Tamah?" Drumilla interrupted them.

"I'm going where Ondia is going. Vista Point Weyr, Far Island and Dreams End has been mentioned. I just hope it's not Dream's End Weyr, I can't figure out what they would do with a crippled old seacrafter like me."

"You are what?" Uegot stared his wife in disbelief.

"I am pregnant," Nerylyn repeated patiently.

"Just now? How did that happen? Didn't we kind agree that four is enough?" Uegot ran his fingers thru his short hair, trying to wrap his head around the news.

"It got started by the usual way," Nerylyn replied dryly and placed her hand against his chest. "And yes, we agreed no more babies. It just happened, precautions failed. I am keeping it." There was steel in her voice.

Uegot pulled her close and wrapped his arms around her. "Of course we are keeping it," he kissed her. He felt her relax against him.

First there had been hurricane damaging the seacraft hall, then volcano causing tsunami and earthquakes. It had made Uegot feel like the hall wasn't safe for his family. This was the last straw that tipped the scale and made him to make up his mind. "That's it. We're relocating. At least the Hold has proper healers."

"Where?" She wasn't arguing which meant she wasn't feeling safe at the hall either.

"Sunstone seahold at first. Then we'll see where the life leads us."

Milga had been worried about her cousin ever since she heard the River Bluff's disaster But she paid no attention when a dragon landed outside the Hall. After all, that was a common occurrence. Not until her fellow apprentice came in to tell her that a bronzerider was asking for her.

"F'dal!" Milga rushed outside to hug her cousin. "You are alright!"

"Yes, hi cousin Milga. Velaith got slight hit from a rock but otherwise we are unharmed," F'dal grinned and hugged her back. He pulled slightly apart and gave Milga a serious look. "It was horrible, and now they are closing River Bluff."

"What happens to you now?" Milga asked.

"I'll transfer to another Weyr. I'm actually on my way to there now, just stopped by to see you."

"Where?"

"Windswept Isles Weyr," F'dal replied. "I asked for it. It's actually closer to Caldera Island than any other Weyr, closer even than Dolphin Cove Weyr. So, I'll be able to check up on them and on you, more easily."

"You better visit," Milga demanded and gave him a playful punch on the shoulder. She was happy to see him and happy to find out he was alright.
