Denenth landed on Dolphin Cove Weyr's bowl and B'jon dismounted,
looking around himself. Saying good bye to River Bluff had been
surprisingly tough. So, this was going to be his new home from now on.
He had beeh here already but now that he knew it was going to be his
permanent home, he was looking at it with new eyes. It was obviously
an

collapsed caldera of volcano and after recent events in Riverbluff
Weyr, it made B'jon nervous. What if that volcano suddenly woke up?

}:Welcome, Denenth,:{ Loseth told the green. }:They're ready to see yours.:{

The Weyrleaders were set up in the council room, easily accessible
from the Bowl. They had refreshments ready for the many riders they
were meeting today.

}: Thank you, we are pleased to be here, :{ Denenth replied before
relying the message to her rider. She was excited and happy, unlike
her rider who suffered from nightmares, Right now, B'jon envied her
lack of long term memory.

** Ask Nalarith if they are going to join us, ** he asked her before
squaring his shoulders, summoning something like a smile to his face
and walking to meet his new Weyrleaders.
"Greenrider B'jon and Denenth, reporting in, Sir!"

"You're very welcome B'jon," Cyradis said with a warm smile. "Please
give Denenth our welcome as well."

Panitath crooned her own welcome from the heights. }:Welcome to my Weyr.:{

"Hi B'jon, good to meet you." N'vanik gestured toward the table where
water, klah, and snacks were set out. "Please have a seat."

"Thank you, Weyrleader, Weyrwoman. My duty to you and Panitath and
Loseth,"B'jon replied somberly before taking the offered seat.

"The transfer records are a bit... haphazard," N'vanik said. "So why
don't you tell us a bit about yourself and Denenth."

"Probably because our records were crushed by tons of rock," B'jon
said wryly. "I'm nineteen, from a small cothold in Sunstone territory,
mostly farming. Large family and all that.," he shrugged
self-consciously. His background was rather .ordinary. "Denenth is
only one Turn old, so haven't been dragonrider for long. no major
injuries so far. Oh, and Dee is searchdragon." Which meant they were
pretty much welcomed in any Weyr they wanted to go.

Cyradis nodded as she jotted down her notes. As record keeper for her
Weyr she'd have to rebuild the records for their incoming riders. "And
Denenth," she lifted her dark eyes. "Who were her egg dam and sire?"

B'jon actually hit a blank and had to thought a moment before he
remembered. "Orlaith and Nikornath was the sire," he replied.

Orlaith... N'vanik was glad she and Rhosyn weren't around when the
collapse happened, although now they had no home to return to. "We're
always happy to have a search pair."

"Nikornath is a very strong sire," she nodded. K'deren's fathers
lifemate had won many gold flights. Her eyes widened with the sudden
thought of him now here in the same Weyr. Uncomfortable thought.

"He does sire a great dragons," B'jon said with fondly thought towards
his lifemate.

"Are both you and Denenth in good health? Anything we should be
concerned about?" N'vanik asked. Riders and dragons had been hurt in
the disaster and several pairs had also strained themselves afterward
helping their fellow weyrfolk.

"Physically, we're both fine," B'jon replied. "I'm suffering from
nightmares," he admitted.

"I'm sure," Cyradis agreed. "Have you had the time to see a mind
healer? They can really help."

"I haven't had a chance, it's been crazy and the healers have been
busy with actual injuries," B'jon replied.

"We're giving everyone from River Bluff a few days to adjust. Light
duties only if you want them." N'vanik knew that working could be a
good distraction. "Make an appointment with the mindhealers as soon as
possible. Don't think you're not important enough because you are."

"Yes, sir, thank you," B'jon replied.

"Yes you are," Cyradis agreed. "Has Chaysea found you a nice weyr?"

"Not yet," B'jon replied to her. "We have been bunking with Lanniya."

"Ah, I noticed there's been a green, sometimes two on Anaeryth's ledge
a lot. Is there another rider with you?" N'vanik asked.

"Yes, A'dryn. He was Lanniya's clutchmate and they become close
friends," B'jon replied.

Cyradis smiled, amused by the turn of the conversation. "You don't
need to give him the once over," she said touching N'vanik on the arm.
"Let's make sure you have your own place with whoever you'd like.
Lanniya does have a brownrider friend who visits rather frequently."

"I was just curious," N'vanik told her. "Things have been so busy I've
barely had time to talk to Lanniya." Their few conversations had been
brief and all business. "I'm glad you've been able to stay with a
friend, B'jon. As Cyradis said, we'll get you permanent quarters."

"Yes, I'm sure she'll appreciate the privacy when we are gone," B'jon replied.

Cyradis chuckled. "And so should you," she couldn't help the little wink.
