Description: Yanley and Saibra discuss the lack of free weyrs in Weyr.
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 4, day 2 of Turn 9

Yanley was holding a tray when she knocked before entering the
Weyrwoman's office.
It was time for their scheduled meetings. "Good afternoon, Saibra. How
are you feeling today?" she greeted with warm tone.
Saibra turned with a smile for her Headwoman, "Yanley, good afternoon.
I'm feeling good today, lots of energy, so I am trying to take
advantage of it."
"So good the hear that," Yanley lowered the tray to the table. "We
have plenty of business to deal with."
"We do," Saibra agreed as she took a seat and helped herself to some
juice from the tray that Yanley had brought up. "Has Lanniya talked
with you about the Weyr gardens yet? She expressed interest in them
when she first arrived."
"Not yet, I think she's been busy settling in," Yanley replied. She
took a seat and poured herself a tea.
"She's such a sweet girl, so lively." Yanley rather liked what she had
seen of the new goldrider.
"Quite. I've been happy to see that she's not living up to the
reputation she built for herself at River Bluff. I think the time she
spent at Dolphin Cove with Cyradis and Kapera was well spent."
"Yes," Yanley nodded. "I hope we can keep her now, she needs
stability." She inspected the list she had brought with her. "We have
couple of concerns."
"Okay, let's hear them." Saibra straightened in her chair.
"As you well know, Chioneth's clutch has reached the point when they
will soon move to their own weyrs. And I don't have nearly enough
empty weyrs for them," Yanley said. "The problem is lack of smaller
weyrs. We do have larger family weyrs free but not enough small ones
for all the blues and greens in this clutch."
"Are there any browns that we could bump up to a slightly larger weyr,
or at least give them the opportunity, so that we can open up some
smaller weyrs?" Saibra said, musing outloud. "The other option would
be to clear out some of the smaller weyrs that have been used for
storage."
"We already cleared pretty much all the smaller weyrs when those
riders from River Bluff arrived," Yanley replied. "I'll look in to who
could be moved into larger one. I was also thinking if there are
weyrlings willing to share, like room-mates. Two greens or blues would
easily fit to a larger weyr's ledge and the riders willing to share a
weyr would have a private bath as a perk," she continued with her own
idea.
"That's an excellent idea, Yanley. Since they shared during parts of
weyrlinghood, perhaps they wouldn't mind buddying up with a friend
again."
Yanley nodded. "I also go thru the rosters again. Perhaps someone has
weyrmated and kept their old weyr, just in case it didn't work out,"
she said and snorted. "Like I wouldn't give them a new weyr if they
broke up."
Saibra knew some riders who had done that, just so that they would
have an independent place to go back to when they wanted space and
perhaps to entertain "other" company outside of their weyrmate.
"That's very plausible and certainly worth investigating."
"Yes, it is," Yanley replied and smiled. "At least the new wingleader
doesn't seem to need a weyr of his own," she remarked with friendly,
teasing tone.
The Weyrwoman gave Yanley a toothy grin, "Ah, yes, I'm all about
figuring out solutions to problems you know."
"It's always lovely to work with people who make my job easier," Yanley replied.
