K'ran

It had been so long, too long, since she'd had such exercise between the furs, and Jeyme was languidly stretching, enjoying the pull in her muscles as she rolled over to see who had been the winner of her flight. If it was D'hol she knew he would want more....

**K'ran.** Jeyme smirked a little, glad that the bronzerider was no longer her WIngleader, or this might have been awkward. Instead, she allowed her eyes to admire his physique. Perhaps he would want to go again...

K'ran hadn't expected Rogueth to leap after Quinneth, nor for him to win, especially as he'd a half-remembered glimpse of Jeyme and D'hol touching each other on their way to the cots - or was that imagined? The memories right then were hazy. He yawned and shifted to roll into the warm spot left exposed as Jeyme stretched.

"Hello there," he said, reaching out to brush his fingers against her cheek.

Rogueth was curled on a ledge with Quinneth, having brought his mate safely back to the Weyr. He was content in the feeling of the win and dozing in the sated feeling.

"Thank you for the flight," Jeyme said the accustomed words with a little chuckle. The words they'd been taught as Weyrlings to say. "Do you have time to stay a little while?" she offered.

He hesitated a moment. Jeyme wasn't Saidrene, Quinneth not Ashareth. This had been just a flight. But he wasn't weyrmated to Saidrene exclusively, they hadn't discussed moving in outside of the pregnancy nor exclusivity, and with residual dragonlust running his body, it warred with reason only for a moment before winning.

"I think so. I don't have drills, do you?" he asked, pulling her close to push his lips against hers.

Jeyme hummed against his lips, wrapping one of her long legs around his waist as desire and lust rekindled low in her belly.

Sounded like a no. He brought one hand down to stroke along her side, then down her hip, while parting her lips with his tongue and arching his hips up against her.

Rogueth shifted as something tickled at his mind.

The greenrider shifted her hips to accommodate the bronzerider, her fingers trailing their way up his neck and finding their way into his air as the kiss intensified.

K'ran shivered at it and bit down on Jeyme's lip, grinding his hips against hers. He palmed her rear, kneading it with his fingers, and brought his other hand up to catch at her breast.

}:Rogueth,:{ an unexpected gold voice called to the Weyrsecond's bronze. }:Rogueth, your rider is needed. Ashareth's rider is having her baby.:{ Chioneth was lounging near the top of the Weyr, watching through her rider's eyes as Saibra held Saidrene's hand.

Rogueth's tail twitched sharply against Quinneth's hide as the voice calling him penetrated his attention. }:Rider!:{ he said loudly into K'ran's thoughts. }:You are needed.:{

**I'm busy,** he thought.

}:Ashareth is clutching!:{ the bronze said urgently.

K'ran froze against Jeyme.

"What? What is it?" Jeyme panted when she felt K'ran go still.

"I have to go, Rogueth is telling me that a baby is being had."

"What?" Jeyme asked again, muddled and confused. "A baby?"

}:You have to see Ashareth's _now_, the golds say so,:{ Rogueth said with more insistence.

"Yes, a baby. Saidrene is having hers now and Rogueth is telling me that I have to go because gold dragons say so," he said apologetically, stumbling over his words as he rolled over and away from Jeyme. "I'm so sorry, it was a good flight, I don't mean to just run but."

But he had to find his pants. Saidrene was having her baby. Their baby. And that meant he had to go. Oh, shards. The excitement began to outweigh the flightlust as he hunted for pants and shoes.

Jeyme watched the bronzerider dress with her mouth open. Lust and desire still thrummed through her body, some residual from the flight, but some had just been kindled and now... He was leaving?

She tried to put herself in Saidrene's shoes, knowing that she wanted her mate there while she gave birth but... she couldn't wait just half a candlemark longer? First she and D'hol had been interrupted by the flight, and now even her after-flight was being disrupted.

Jeyme wasn't sure if she had ever left a mating flight feel so unsated.
