K'mai had too much restless energy so he decided to go to the Vinter
Hall tavern to look for some fun. But when he got there it was much
quieter than he expected, and he had a moment of disappointment before
he spotted a familiar face behind the bar.
"Nirian!" he said as he slid into a stool. "You're looking as lovely as ever."
"You little flirt," Nirian shot back with a wink. She finished
polishing off the glass she had in her hands and set it down. She
settled into a familiar pose, her elbows braced on the bar, her
cleavage on perfectly framed display within the triangle of her
forearms as she rested her chin on her hands. "What brings you here
tonight?"
K'mai crooked a finger and beckoned her closer. Her grin turned saucy.
Wicked. She inched a little nearer.
The bluerider leaned on the bar and whispered in her ear, "How would
you like to go for a dragon ride? And then I can take you for a ride
in my nice soft bed." He could almost feel her soft curves under his
hands already.
The barmaid let out a breathy giggle. Two types of a ride! And some
blessed time away from the tavern. It was an absolutely unexpected
gift. She licked her lips suggestively before saying, "If you can wait
two hours, sure. I'll be off shift then."
K'mai wasn't keen on waiting. He was even less patient than usual
lately, but he'd made the offer and now that he was here he _did_ want
to enjoy a romp with Nirian. "I can have a drink or two to pass the
time."
"I'll make it worth your wait," Nirian promised. She went to pour him
one of his favorite drinks, served it, and then went to the next
customer. But she didn't ignore K'mai at all. She made sure to toss
him sultry looks, to pose just right to show off her curves while
serving other customers -- all the tricks she knew to keep a guy
thinking about her body even if she couldn't engage in conversation.
It worked . . . for a while. But when Nirian was busy with a longer
order, K'mai found his gaze drifting to the table in the far corner
where he'd sat with I'serin. And he thought of those shy, hidden
touches -- the light brush of fingers over his knuckles, the gentle
nudge of I'serin's foot under the table. Pushing his boundaries,
I'serin had said.
Of course, Nirian noticed. She smirked to herself. "He was here, you
know," she said in casual passing. "Your friend. The one with no name.
I'm calling him Lord No Name now."
At her first words he felt a spike of worry, but then it melted into
humor. "I like it." K'mai played with his glass and said as casually
as he could, "What was he doing here?"
"Picking up your birthingday gift I bet," she said. Her tone turned
scathingly teasing. "Since you were a scamp and didn't invite me to
it!"
K'mai's eyes widened slightly. "Oh, sorry. I can put you on the list
for next time."
"You better," Nirian threatened gleefully. She began wrapping up the
last few customers with her usual flair and efficiency, until the
tavern was empty besides just the two of them. "Whenever you're
ready," she said with a grin as she locked the final drawer.
Finally! K'mai stood and offered his arm. "My lady." She grinned as
she took his arm, playing into the charade.
"I'll need to be back before late breakfast, okay?" she told him. That
gave them a few solid hours at least.
He nodded. "Don't want to get you in trouble. Do you want to stay up
the whole time? Or else I can give you at _least_ two orgasms and then
we could cuddle and sleep for a few candlemarks."
"Promises, promises," she replied. "Let's get naked first and then
decide later."
K'mai laughed. "I like the way you think." Sebeth landed just as they
stepped outside, dark hide making him almost invisible in the night,
but his glowing blue eyes gave him away.
}:She will be good for you. I like her.:{ He turned his head toward
Nirian as they approached.
"Hi Sebeth," Nirian purred. She lavished scritches and rubs on the
dragon before clamboring aboard.
K'mai hopped up and began strapping them in. "He likes you." The blue
rumbled in agreement.
Nirian laughed. "Does he?" she asked rhetorically. She gave Sebeth
another scratch. "Well, I like him too. He's way nicer than my
brother's Diluth. Diluth never takes me anywhere." The moment she said
it, she wished she hadn't, because she didn't want to think about her
brother, or her responsibilities, or the things that kept her from
living her best life. She wanted to think about herself. "Let's go,
Sebeth! Your rider owes me a good time."
K'mai laughed as the blue took off. They climbed high and took longer
than they needed to, making a long, slow circle above the tavern and
the Vintner Hall. K'mai wanted to give Nirian a good view.
Even though it was a beautiful sight aloft, it represented everything
that was holding her down. Eventually, Nirian looked away, towards the
horizon. Towards anything beyond.
The bluerider turned back and shouted, "Ready?"
"You have no idea!" she shouted back.
He told Sebeth to go /between/ and a few breaths later they came out
over Dragonsfall Weyr. "You ever been here before?"
"Once," she told him. "To see my brother Impress." She had begged
N'rada to take her back, even just for a day, but he always had an
excuse. He was full of them lately. She hated it. "It's a lot colder
here!" she exclaimed.
K'mai laughed. "Sure is! But I'll keep you warm." They took a slow
circle above the Weyr too. Not that there was much to see in the
darkness, but she'd mentioned she liked dragon rides. After a long,
spiraling sweep, Sebeth landed on their ledge. K'mai unhooked them and
helped Nirian down. "Welcome to my humble weyr," he said with a sweep
of his hand.
"Not bad," she said with a critical eye and a toss of her hair. "I bet
these walls could tell some stories." She looked over her shoulder
saucily at him.
"_So_ many stories." He shrugged out of his riding jacket and let it
drop, then stepped over to stand in front of her. "Let's give them
another." He cupped her face with one hand and then bent to kiss her.
She let out a low, throaty chuckle as she met his lips. Her hands
slipped under his shirt, fingertips dancing lightly across his skin,
splaying across his ribs briefly before skipping lower to his belt.
"What do you want?" K'mai murmured against her lips, his hand sliding
under the back of her shirt.
"I want to ride you for the first," she hummed back as she undid his
belt. "And then, you're going to ride me." Nirian was a woman who knew
what wanted from sex. Holder boys tended to be too shy and prudish.
They didn't know what to do an experienced woman. And that's what
Nirian liked about dragonriders -- they knew how to _enjoy_ sex.
"I like a woman who knows what she wants." K'mai tugged off her shirt
and then bent to kiss her shoulder, one hand coming up to gently
squeeze her ample breast. She tilted her head to the side to give his
mouth better access.
Her fingers finished with his belt and she gave it a flourishing tug.
Her fingers roamed the skin below his waistline, then back up his
torso. She gripped his shirt, gave him a warning tug, and then pulled
it over his head. She pressed her breasts against him as her mouth
captured his.
Both his arms went around her back, working to unfasten her bra as
they kissed. He slipped it off and teased one of her nipples between
his fingers. He was rewarded with a delighted yip of pleasure.
~*~ fade to black ~*~
K'mai chuckled warmly and kissed her. "Love your enthusiasm." He
shifted against her and asked hopefully, "Cuddle?"
"Uh huh," she mumbled, dazed and drifting. "Shells, K'mai, where did
you learn _that_?"
"Sweetheart, if a man hasn't done that to you before you need better lovers."
"Have you _seen_ the selection I have at the Hall? It's abysmal!" She
smacked him on the arm playfully. "You and your friends need to visit
more often. Even that one that won't tell me his name." She snuggled
into K'mai's arms fully. "Mmm, that was so good. Thank you."
His heart skipped a little at the mention of I'serin. Faranth, he
wanted to see him so bad. "You're very welcome. Thank _you_." He
kissed her cheek. "Hmm, I should take some of those Hall boys to bed
and show them how to treat you right."
"Please! Give me a scandal! Something! Life's far too boring over
there most days. I need someone to shake it all up."
"I'll see if I can coax someone into the furs. Maybe the three of us
could all play together." Nirian certainly deserved the attention of
multiple men. "And I'm definitely inviting you to my next party."
"You better."
