Singing... in a few different ways

Kirra smiled as she folded one of Z'al's tunics. She had decided to spend the afternoon cleaning the weyr and maybe thinking about some new things to add to it to put some decoration into the some-what bland place. As she finished putting their clothes away Kirra began singing a song she had known from childhood, a sea-song, telling of a girl's love going away on a long voyage and how sad she was until he came home at last. She had sung it for years, always in private thinking that her voice wasn't anything special. But in all that time she had found the emotion in the song and had learned how to change the inflection in it, into her own interpretation of what the girl was feeling, especially now that she knew what love felt like. She didn't notice, when Z'al walked in. He came in quietly and stood a moment reveling in her voice. It was a sweet sounding soprano with a gentle quality. He liked it. He remembered learning the song she sang and quietly retrieved his pipes. He softly started playing the tune, weaving it in with her voice. Playing notes that complimented her tone and harmonizing with it.

Kirra didn't notice the pipes, but instead unconciously embraced them as she sang. It was only once Kirra had turned around, her arms out as she let out the last sad note, that she saw Z'al, realized he had been playing the pipes along with her, and quickly cut-off the long note. She blushed deeply as he looked at her with his gaze that was so reverent it made her knees buckle. She turned back to the dresser she had been organizing and shut the drawer, waiting for Z'al to say something because she was far too embarassed to. "That was beautiful. I have not heard that song sung with such feeling in a long time. You should have been a harper." He smiled as he walked over to collect her in his arms.

Kirra rolled her eyes to cover up her embarrassment, "Aye, I should have been a harper, so that I could make all the other singers look good."

"No, you'd make them look bad." He pulled her all the closer. "You have a truely lovely voice my dear."

Kirra wrinkled her nose and smiled, "You really think so?" she asked suspicously.

"Of course I do. All you need is a little help to refine it. Perhaps you should go to the Master Harper. Then you can take a few classes and see were it goes from there." He offered.

Kirra bit her lower lip in thought. She had never thought herself _that_
good. She finally looked up at him and smiled, "Okay, I'll see about making a trip to the Master Harper's office sometime soon."

"Good." He smiled as he kissed her neck.

Kirra moaned as he kissed her, "Hmmm, you know if you keep doing that, mmmmmm, you're gonna be hearing a different kind'a song from me."

"I might take it as a challenge. I'm intrested at what notes I may coax from that pretty mouth of yours." He reached around and brushed his hand along her side.

She sighed as his fingers moved over her. No one had ever been able to make her feel so weightless, so desirable as he did, and she relished every moment of his touch. And as his hand stopped she unconciously whimpered, begging for more. He smiled. He gently scooped her up and walked her over to the bed. He laid her down and stripped off his shirt. He then procceded to kiss her. He started by lifting the hem of her shirt and kissing her belly. He worked his way up from there. Kirra couldn't think how many times he had done this to her; scooped her off her feet to be pampered in bed. And she couldn't think of any of the times she had ever stopped him, not that she wanted to, that's for _sure_. **But if he keeps doing this I will never get any house work done.** Then she felt his lips on her neck, his warm chest pressed against hers, and his hands ever wandering, and decided that house work, and singing, could be done another day.
