Birigundi

Birigundi

Aryn's eyes fell on him again. Tall, so tall... and lithe. Watching him run, was a complete pleasure. She averted her eyes as she sighed though. She was sure he wouldn't notice her looks, but her table mates, aye, they may. Some, as they also looked in that direction, and grinned at her.

"Aryn, it looks nice out there tonight," One of the girls said, "Are you going to go for one of your night walks?" **Hmmm, so those strolls outside haven't gone unnoticed** She thought, but refused to show her annoyance.

"Yes, a good brisk walk, I believe I shall. If you'll excuse me..."
and she said goodnight to her dinning companions. She shot one more glance over. It looked like he was done with his dinner, but she could never tell which nights he would go out. It was hit or miss, and not that she usually spoke to him. **Maybe tonight?** She made sure to stop by her room to grab her jacket before going out, she had a feeling she may meander for a while tonight.

Her plotting paid off as this was indeed one of the nights the boy had planned to go out for a light jog to work off dinner. There was something about cool winter nights that just suited him. The cold air in his lungs was invigorating. He stepped outside the cold stone walls of the Weyr and breathed in deeply of the night air before setting in to stretching.

When Aryn reached the doors she was so surprised to see someone right outside she jumped! Quietly she shut the doors though and let her eyes adjust to the dark. Was it him? Should I say something, if it is? If it isn't? She decided to pretend she hadn't seen him. She opened the door, and this time closed it more loudly, and hummed to make it clear someone was about.

She then began to stroll forward, pretending to be completely wrapped up in herself, even though she was far from it, trying to will her senses out further.

"Good evenin, Aryn. Out for a walk?" Birigundi asked as he stretched one leg in front of him and reached for its toes.

"Oh!" She spun around at his voice. "Birrrrrigunndi, I didn't notice you there. I was, just going to take a little stroll. The ccooold crisp air, it makes the sky seem so clear." She paused gathering her jacket closer around her. "You must know, I'm sure youu've noticed, in your running."

"Are you sure you should be out here? You sound rather cold," he said as he switched legs.

"Well, I'll only be out for a little bit," she replied wondering if he was concerned or just making conversation. "I also have this nice jacket, my brother gave to me. Its Oh so Warm in here." She spun around, instinctively showing it off as she mentioned it.

"It looks warm," Birigundi confirmed with a grin. "Too bad there isn't room for two in there."

She positively beamed, but turned the expression into a pout as she stepped a bit closer. "You're right, that's sad. I wouldn't want you to think I'm unwilling to share my warmth Birigundi." **Ok dear, that's a bit too much innuendo** she told herself as the last comment slipped out.

The young man looked up at her in not at all unpleasant surprise.
"Would you now? That's most kind of you. Winter nights can be so cold with nothing to keep you warm."

"Ohhh well, there isn't nothing," she was a little more nervous now.
It wasn't supposed to be this easy. Was it? "Hiding under blankets, hot bathes," Was she blushing? She felt flushed and warm, even though the air was chilly. "Exercise also, that keeps you warm. Oh!"
**Am I babbling** she thought "don't let me keep you from your run."

Unfortunately, Birigundi is just that easy. "A walk is good exercise as well. Maybe between the two of us we can keep warm, if you care to join me."

"Yes, offf course I would," she replied taking a few more tentative steps closer to his side. Not quiet touching, barely.

He offered her his arm. "Wonderful. I know a great spot. Really quiet and a great view of the stars. Do you like star gazing, Aryn?"

Aryn took the proffered arm, slowly entwining hers around it. "On occasion, when the skies clear. My gaze is often drawn to bright lights. Sometimes it seems they're friendly, watching down on me."

"I can understand that," Birigundi said as he lead the way. "They have been my good friends on many a run."

Aryn beamed again. Birigundi talking about the stars made him sound deep, and less superficial then other males. **He seems so sweet, and offering his arm too.** Aryn wasn't sure what to say next though so she just enjoyed the proximity, her head tilted upwards although her eyes were in a different direction.

The young man could see her eyes were not focused on the skies. He smiled smugly to himself. She was nice - a little young, but not _that_ young - and very appealing. The one thing that Birigundi loved more than running and dragons was girls. "So, are you going to make a wish? Apparently, from what I hear at least, the Ancients used to make wishes on the stars."

"I wish," She whispered. Ohhh he was intoxicating close. The moon, the stars, only a brisk chill; it was all to perfect. "I wish time would stand still, just for a moment."

"And what moment would you chose?" he asked with a knowing smile. Yes, she was not that young. And besides, if she Impressed, there were things she would need to know...

Aryn shyly encircled her arms around him. She Lifted her head up to meet his eyes, brushing a cheek against his. Her voice dropped into a tone she hadn't thought possible "The moment I believe we are about to have very soon Birigundi."

**Well, at least she's a girl who knows what she wants,** he thought.
Slipping his long arms around her waist he pulled her close and brought his lips down to hers.

Aryn responded, locking lips. **Birrriiii** she said in her mind. He felt so warm and strong. **Forward or shy?** She thought. She wondered if she dared acted a bit more forward, maybe a slip of the lip? **Nooo, I'm sure it won't be long.** Instead she snaked her arm around his neck, reaching to stroke his hair.

The young man was rarely shy when it came to girls. Her willingness was evident in the way she ran her hands through his hair. His lips parted as he gently invited her in.

Aryn's tongue snaked in, circling within his lips, seeking the warm return of his. **Breath, breath** she reminded herself. She didn't want to have to come up for air anytime soon.

Apparently there was not much Aryn _didn't_ know, at least about kissing. He started to wonder just how much she knew about other things as well. Perhaps with a little encouragement... Well, no reason to push. He decided to just enjoy the moment and see where it lead.

Although completely carried away by the moment Aryn was beginning to be nervous again. They were fast approaching the end of her skillfulness. She didn't want this to end, but she also didn't want Birigundi to realize she was still new to the more mature intimacies.
She did let one hand explore a little lower on his backside, wishing she could run hers all over every in of his lithe frame.

Birigundi could feel her stiffen a bit, even as her hand moved to his backside. Perhaps that was enough for now. He gently pulled back and smiled down at her, a little breathless. "Yes, I think that was a moment I would love to relive someday."

"I agree," **I guess that's it for now. Hopefully more later.** she thought to herself as she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. She then skipped a few feet away and turned. "Don't wait long to repeat it, Ok?" She took a deep breath and expelled it slowly. "The night air is nice, I may have to come out here more often."

**If she thinks the _night_ air is nice, just wait until we move indoors...** Birigundi thought as he took a couple steps in her direction. He would be patient of course. "Well, the night can be dangerous. You don't know what you could run into all alone out here.
I suppose I can be convinced to escort you out here sometimes if you like."

Aryn batted her eyes, stepping closer to Birigundi again. "But sometimes a little danger is healthy, keeps the adrenaline running."
She traced her finger down the side of his face ending it on top of his lips. "On the other hand company is always appreciated."

"Well, you know, I'm willing to keep someone such as yourself company anywhere they feel lonely." He let his hands rest on her hips and gently pulled her towards him.

Aryn was practically humming in pleasure, willing let herself be pulled towards him. "Be careful Birigundi, I may have to take you up on that."

"I am more than willing to take that chance," he said as he gently nipped at her bottom lip. There was more to Aryn than he had ever expected!

Aryn decided to steal another kiss since his lips were so handily close. She felt vibrant against him. **Just a _little_ longer** she told herself as she lifted her hands to cup his face.

They each took full advantage of stolen kisses with very little small talk, until finally the cold night breeze drove them back towards the Weyr entrance.

There weren't many people left, but a few so Aryn decided it was best to part ways. Especially when she caught sight of her brother talking with some of her friends. "Night!" was all she said as she ran off, making sure to stay out of Toriat's line of sight.

Which worked, for she was nowhere in sight when Toriat was done questioning the girls. One had mentioned she thought Aryn might have gone outside for a walk so he approached the exit. That's when he caught sight of Birigundi.

He waved. **Hopefully hes getting back from a run and not leaving**
he thought as he approached. "Hey Birigundi, have you seen Aryn? I heard she might have taken a walk outside."

**Yeah, I saw her... in a whole new light!** "Umm... yeah. She was outside, taking a walk. We came back in together."

"Oh great, I've been looking all over for her, you see which way she headed?" He didn't pick up at all on Birigundi's tone, he was so insistent on finding Aryn.

"I'm not sure, she kind of disappeared suddenly," Birigundi laughed.
Maybe the light scared her away! Pointing in the opposite direction he said, "She probably went that way or you would have seen her pass."

"Ok, thanks Birigundi, G'night." Toriat said as he headed off to find Aryn.

"Good night," the Runner called after him. Smiling to himself as he started climbing the steps, he couldn't imagine how his night could get better... or maybe he could...
