"Shells, I can't believe this is happening to me," Aishara muttered and looked desperately around her. She was lost. Totally lost. Nothing looked familiar to her. She was lost in the maze of the Dolphins Cove's lower caverns. There was not other option than to stop the next passer-by.
"Excuse me, sir, can you point me to the laundy cavern?" the weyrling girl asked politely.
B'vin peered down at the girl, she looked familiar... a candidate? No, she had weyrling knots... one of the new ones then. Then he remembered, the girl from the stands. "Aishara?" he asked for confirmation.
"Yes. Does everybody here know who I am?" she answered and asked.
He shrugged and nodded, "Probably. But I'm part of the weyrlingstaff so I _should_ know who you are."
Aishara looked him more closely. "So you are. Sorry, I should have recognized you," she said with embarrassed voice.
He shrugged again, he really couldn't care if a weyrling knew who he was, they'd learn quick enough once he yelled at them a few times.
"You've got alot of faces to learn, I'm not really a top priority."
"You're right at that," Aishara sighed. Few visits now and then did not teach you much about the place.
Misinterpereting her words he raised his brow and replied sharply, "But learning respect for your instructors _is_ a top priority."
"I didn't mean _that_, sir, I ment lot of to learn," Aishara hastily corrected.
B'vin eyed her, not convinced she's wasn't just back treading so as not to get in trouble. "Why are you looking for the laundry anyways, it's almost time for lights out."
"I was told that I must pick up my clean laundry there," Aishara replied.
He sighed, without the sevendays and months most candidates spent in the Weyr waiting for the next hatching, she probably _wouldn't_ know where the laundry was. "It's down a level. Take the stairs at the end of the hall and then take the first two lefts and then a right.
_Then_ get yourself back out to the weyrling barracks. You have to make sure your dragon's settled before lights out."
"Yes, sir, Thank you," Aishara said.
He stared at her for a moment and when she didn't move he said tersely, "Well? What are you waiting for? Go!"
"Yes, sir," Aishara said and hurried to the pointed direction. *Man, he was crumpy! Almost like dad with his apprentices!** she thought.
