Cinale

Cinale

Sleepily Daigoro brushed at the hair tickling his neck. He lifted his head up just enough to crack open an eye and look down at the reddish blond hair draped over him, hiding the face of the woman it belonged to, and the arm wrapped around his middle. Something small and white laying in the middle his chest caught his eye and plucked it up with his thick fingers to examine it more closely.

It was a single petal. Daigoro smiled softly as he remembered how his love's hair had been crowned with flowers, proclaiming for all the world that it was her special day. That day she had dreamed about since she was a little girl. He wondered if it had been exactly as she had pictured it.
Some things surely were different. She probably hadn't pictured getting married to a man with greying hair and a little bit of a gut on him when she was a little girl. But she smiled at him as if he had been that groom she had always dreamed of. Faranth knew she had been lovely, breath-taking in fact. She positively glowed as she took his hand, looking up at him with such love and trust in her eyes, her head wreathed with tiny white flowers.

Cinale had been floating on that fine line between dreaming and being awake, but it was the feeling of his fingers on her hair that brought her out of that misty place. Her eyes fluttered, lashes brushing against his bare skin as she slowly shifted, rubbing her cheek against his chest. "Good morning," she whispered softly, arm tightening around him.

"And good morning to you." He couldn't help but grin at the way she blinked at him, her lids still half closed and her eyes fighting for focus. Shards, but she was just so cute!

Leaning forward, she pressed a clumsy kiss to his grinning lips, unable to stop herself from giving into that sweet temptation. A pleasant warmth suffused her as she realized--once again--that she would never have to restrain herself from touching him like this, kissing him like this... "Sleep well?"

"Oh yes, very," he murmured. Shards, but he couldn't help but notice the way her skin slid against his. "And you?"

A grin spread across her lips as she blushed, running her fingertips through his mussy hair. "Better than I have in months."

"Well, we had a busy day yesterday." Not to mention the night! He wondered if it was appropriate to... do it again...

"Mmmmhmm. That we did!" she blushed, cuddling closer, noticing daylight filtering in through the small part in the curtains. It wasn't the pale gray of dawn, but the whitewash of bright sunlight! She _never_ got to sleep in this late. Grinning, she propped her chin up on his chest and looked down at him, chuckling. "I think this is the first time in Turns I've slept in so late."

"Well, I think we're going to have to make a habit of it on restdays." Why wake up early with so many wonderful reasons to stay in bed! He was starting to imagine the possibilities now...

The intensity in his eyes made her blush. "What are you thinking, Daigoro?" she asked shyly, running a light finger across his shoulder.

He wasn't sure he should say. It was different the night before. They _both_ knew it was coming. That they wanted it. But now... should he just ask? Should he just assume? "I was just thinking... how beautiful the wedding was," Daigoro finally lied. He just couldn't come out and say it!

She tilted her head to the side, regarding him with a tender smile. "It was the most beautiful wedding I've ever been to." Her nail lightly began to trace a swirling design on his shoulder. "But I think I'm being biased..."

"Maybe..." He wished she'd stop doing that. It was rather...
distracting. "Are you... still sleepy?"

Cinale shook her head, wondering at this sudden change of topic.

Maybe he should try a more subtle approach. He reached over to pull her hand up to his lips and gently kissed the tip of each finger.

Her heart began to pound as she watched him. Did he want to....love again? Heat flushed her cheeks anew as memories of last night's loving filled her thoughts. Or perhaps he was just showing his affection? Shells, but she certainly wouldn't mind if he _did_ want to love again. Oh, but how wanton of her!

"You know, you're beautiful in the morning." The way the light hit her hair was just lovely. It didn't matter that her hair was so disheveled. Maybe it was _because_ her hair was so disheveled. This was a Cinale that other men didn't get to see. "I feel so lucky to be your husband, Cinale."

Smiling, she leaned down to kiss him, a thrill running through her as their lips met. "I love you."

That was enough invitation for Daigoro. He wrapped her up in his arms, pulled her close, and kissed her deeply. Faranth's name but being married was the most wonderful thing!
