B'vin wondered why he was even at her door. He didn't even _like_ her, she wasn't even a friend, but for some reason he was there and he had knocked, and there was no turning back. Maybe it was concern for her, she had been pretty beaten up the last he'd seen her, and he supposed it was partly his fault if what she'd said was true. More likely than not though it was for the selfish reason of loneliness. He'd been holed up in his weyr since the flight and besides his fight with D'cal, he'd had no visitors, no one to see how he was doing or how he was feeling. Sure, Y'sani had sent a query though the dragons, but Serenth had relayed that he was sick and the Weyrlingmaster had left him alone after that. The door opened at last. Dyaera looked a little shaky on her feet as she regarded him with confusion. "B'vin?"
"The one and only," he declared as he held up two full bottles of somewhat poor quality wine. "Are you going to let me in?" Maybe she'd refuse and slam the door in his face... She stared at him for a long time, obviously debating doing just that. But in the end she turned her back on the door and walked gingerly back to her couch, leaving the door open in obvious, if somewhat sullen, invitation.
Nothing like making a guy feel welcome. B'vin closed the door with a kick of his foot and plopped down on the chair next to her. "I plan on getting drunk, care to join me?" He sat the bottle meant for her down on the table with a loud thud, and didn't wait for her reply before popping the top off of his and taking a long drink. Dyaera picked up the wine bottle and turned it over in her hands. "I've never been drunk. Is it fun?"
B'vin snorted and eyed the girl. "I guess if you're already in a good mood. I'm just aiming at not feeling like crap for the evening." "That would be nice." Shrugging, Dyaera handed the wine bottle back to him. "I'm no good at opening them. I always mess it up."
The large greenrider popped the cork open easily and was careful not to spill any of contents. "It just takes practice." he said simply as he passed it back to her.
"Thanks." Dyaera brought the bottle to her lips and took a long sip. "I'm sorry I yelled at you the other day. I was in a bad mood."
An apology was something B'vin didn't think he'd _ever_ hear out of Dyaera, much less for something she really didn't have to apologize for. _He_ had been the one who had barged in on _her_! "At least this time you had a right to be." "_This time_?" she asked, her voice rising just a bit. She didn't really have the energy for a fight, but B'vin had always made her annoyed.
"Um, yeah!" he stated the obvious. "You're always on my back for _something_, and usually for sharding idiotic things! I'm just saying that _this_ time it was for something I deserved to be yelled at for." "I don't yell at you!" Dyaera retorted in a voice that was certainly loud enough to be considered yelling. It took a few moments for the irony of that to sink in before her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. B'vin couldn't help it when he let out a bark of laughter. "Just quit arguing with me and drink the sharding wine! If I had wanted to fight with someone tonight I would have gone to see D'cal!" Dyaera let out a surprised laugh and lifted her wine bottle a little shakily. "Well. I'll drink to _that_!"
