X'amor realized that as he drew more close to the Dolphin Hall the more he feared the out come of his visit. **You were only here a candlemark ago!**
the bluerider reminded himself.
He had made his way slowly to Jen's room, amazed that he remembered the way.
When he knocked on the door he didn't know what to expect. "Jen, It's me..."
he said cautiously.
The dolphineer was pacing, Az'uka had spent some time with her after X'amor had stormed off trying to get her to calm down, but something about it had grated her nerves a little further. She paused half way across the room as someone knocked on the door. "Me who" she drawled with a half snarl, already having a guess of her own. Gingerly she walked over and opened the door, seeing X'amor she stepped back from the door, but left it open, the dragonrider could enter at his own risk.
The bluerider walked in with the feeling that he was walking on unsteady ground. At any moment it might all just fallout from under him if Jen didn't forgive him. He walked towards the bed that hadn't been made yet and brushed his fingers over the furs, remembering.
X'amor turned back to her, his eyes dark and shadowed from his guilt, "I'm sorry Jen."
"Sorry?" she half spat the question back at him, unlike her brother she was not a master of hiding her emotions. The dolphinneer was frustrated and frustation so easily turned to anger. "Sorry for what?
Sleeping with me? Storming out?" Each question was sharped with rage and thrown in the rider's direction as she struggled so hard to do what Az'uka would have done, rationalize. Chino who'd been sitting on her shoulder gave a startled chirp and vanished /between/.
He got defensive, "Jen, no, I mean," he huffed then slouching his shoulders realized he needed to confess, "I'm sorry I thought you were cheating on me... I'm sorry I stormed out." he ran his hand across his face and continued. His voice raised as his anger did, "I'm sorry I got so angry over the idea of you sleeping with someone else when I've not been the most faithful either!" Disgusted with himself he sat down heavily on the end of the bed and put his head in his hands and mumbled, "I'm sorry..."
She turned on her heel and stared at him, her green eyes blazing with anger. "_Cheat_ on you?! What do you take me for X'amor? I _love_
you. I thought I made that clear." Jenasie snapped at his admission at the fact he thought she'd been cheating. She was about to have a go at his comment on storming out when she faulted in her own rage, the rest of his words hitting home. **He'd been with some one else?!** To say the least she was hurt, and angry, "Then if you thought I was cheating and not worth the effort why didn't you take off with one of your _others_" She threw pure hatred in last word, he made her feel so disposable, "Sorry? X'amor?..." **not likely**
"Jen, you don't understand, it's been eating me up inside!" The rider returned as he stood up to defend himself. He couldn't stop the sobbing sound as the admission to his self loathing came out, "I haven't slept with anyone else since you, but I sure have thought about it." The look on his face made one think that the words he was saying were horrible to the taste, "I never have physically cheated on you but I've thought about it." He stuttered looking for words, "Jen last night, last night I decided I wasn't going to do that any more. I devoted myself to you last night Jen." His voice became soft and a tear ran down his cheek as he failed at holding it in. "I love you," he reached for her hand, "I always have, ever since I saw your face above mine that day you saved me. Jen, please, I love you."
Her eyes where cold as she watched him as she listened to him, but her anger did not yet dissolve "Key words, _thought about it_" was the sharp retort. His words they were touching, had she not already been fired up, she hadn't known what to think of his early actions, but when he told her instead of crying and saying it was ok she only got angrier, he'd thought about it. He was crying and although part of her wanted to walk over to him and just hold him until he stopped she didn't so much as move. "Really?" she questioned as if his admission hadn't been enough **then act like it...**
"Faranth! Jen! What do you want me to say? Do you want me to prove it to you? Jen, I think you know I love you, you must have felt it last night, you must have." he ended pleadingly but realized she wasn't convinced. **Well I've got to do something to prove it to her.** He looked into her green eyes, their flame was intoxicating. Her hard set mouth and powerful stance showed a side of Jenasie X'amor hadn't seen. And it was glorious, "Fine!" he growled hungrily and pulled her to him. He let his lips be passionate and even a bit rough as he pulled her into his embrace and scoured her lips and neck with kisses.
He kissed her, her fist reaction was to want to push him away to maintain the anger she had inside her, but he was just so... X'amor.
She couldn't ignore it, couldn't ignore him, she loved him to _sharding_ much. So she kissed him back. It was almost reluctant at first as if she didn't want to admit she loved him that much, then it grew, each kiss was more and more passionate. She wrapped her hands around his waist and when he paused in his passionate attack of kisses she leaned her head against his chest. "Sorry? X'amor? I know, I love you too..." She looked up at him the flare of anger in her eyes hadn't faded, instead it was a flare of passion and love "... I should be the one who is sorry."
X'amor looked at her and the amber flecks in his charcoal eyes flared at the passion that was so obviously present in her, but kept himself under control and kneeled down on one knee, taking her small hands in his larger and stronger pair, "Jen, don't try to take some of this off my shoulders." he wanted her badly, but he needed her to understand he was the one at fault and completely willing to take all the blame. "I've been as dumb as a herdbeast, I know that, I just needed to know if you still loved me."
"X'amor..." She stuttered a little, tripping over the rest of the words that were to come, "Of course I still love you," her tone dropped as she leaned over and kissed him lightly on the lips, "How could I not?" Jenasie loved him, more than she had realized until that morning, in her admitting that to him her mind had some how missed the fact he was kneeling. She just wanted to be with him and only him.
He let relief wash over him, from his lips outward, as she kissed him. Then a playful grin spread on his face, "You couldn't resist," he teased with an underlying tone that suggested that he was barely able to resist her.
She grinned at him, and twirlled one of his locks of hair around her finger, "No I couldn't, you can call me guilty of that" was her reply in its own playful tone, it was then she noticed he was kneeling, she raised an eyebrow almost questioningly, "Uh, X'amor you can get off the floor, I'm not going to make you grovel" She joked at him.
X'amor put her hands to his lips and closed his eyes as he felt her soft skin under them then looked straight up into her eyes, "Jen, be my weyrmate?" he asked.
The dolphineer was lost for words, she almost tripped over her own breath as she looked at him, **me? a _weyrmate_?** "X'amor... I..."
She blushed, having no idea how to reply to him "...I'd be honored..."
A grin slowly spread across his face as he got up from the ground, happiness tinkling in his eyes, "No, _I'd_ be honored." He said then scooped her up easily into his arms, draping her horizontally across them.
He grinned at her mischievously, "Now, as I recall, last time," he nodded his head at the bed, "you were on the left, and I was on the right." he plopped her down on the furs and crawled playfully on top of her kissing her and nipping in places he knew were particularly sensitive, "I fore-see this being a problem if that's your preference," he paused to look back at her face, "because personally I'm a left side of the bed kinda guy."
"Well," she returned in a tone that was mock anger, which as so much harder to maintain with him touching her like that, "We're going to have adjust aren't we?" With that she wrapped her arms around him and pulled him close, kissing him.
