Description: The two brownriders discuss their mindhealer visits.
Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 5, day 12 of Turn 4
"So, how have things been?" R'masu asked as he sat across from his fellow brownrider. J'klin gave him a smile and nodded, "Been good, can't complain. And you?"
"Not too bad. This turn has been easier so far." He took a few bites of his meal.
"It's only five months in." the brownrider said with a snort, "Give it time." Although, this turn couldn't be as bad as the last turn...
"I'm the one with depression, but you're the one who sounds gloomy." R'masu smiled half-heartedly, trying to lighten the mood. J'klin gave him a equally half-hearted smile back, "You're right I suppose, I guess I'm just waiting for something bad to happen." "The mindhealers would say that isn't a healthy attitude."
"Well then don't tell my mindhealer!" he joked, "Kitalina is just about to release me, and no matter how attractive she is... I don't want to keep going there!" "That's understandable." R'masu nodded. "I find a visit to a mindhealer comforting, myself. I don't have regular visits like you, though."
J'klin shrugged, "If they weren't _required_ I probably wouldn't mind them so much. I do like the couch, it's quite comfortable."
R'masu chuckled. "I fell asleep on it once."
"And you haven't been the only one." J'klin admitted. "Maybe those mindhealers have a hidden treasure in those chairs... they could charge a mark an hour for riders to take naps!"
"Don't tell them that. They might just do it!"
J'klin grinned and nodded, liking the idea more and more. "No, I think I should tell them, an hour laying out with a cool breeze blowing in. It sounds quite relaxing to me!"
"It does sound relaxing. I just don't want to _pay_ for it!" R'masu said. "Then you'll just have to keep going to the mindhealer then." J'klin said with a shrug. "I'd rather pay half a mark to _not_ go myself." "Hmpf," R'masu grunted. Then he had an idea. "What we should do is find out who made the couch and have them make one for us. Then _we_ could charge a mark an hour for riders to take naps."
J'klin chuckled, "I'm surprised no one has thought of it before!" "There are plenty of good ideas lying around just waiting for someone to find them."
Lifting up his mug, J'klin grinned, "I'll drink to that!"
