A pleasure.

Description: Knara and Lirit talk after his set during the evening meal.
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 12, day 6 of Turn 4

Knara sat and listened to the young man's singing. She had found that
she truly enjoyed his voice and decided that she should introduce
herself. "You are so very good, harper." she said clapping once he had
finished his practice.

Lirit looked up, the sound of a female voice wafting to him over the
drone in the dining hall. He smiled as he moved away so that another
harper could take a turn to entertain the masses. "Why thank
you...your name?"

"Knara..and yours?" she asked curiously. She had always liked music,
but the dragonrider blood seemed to prevail.

"Lirit." The harper stuck his hand out in the general direction of the
woman's voice. "A pleasure, Knara. Do you sing?"

Taking his outstretched hand she replied, "Not too well. My grandmother
has a nice singing voice, but I didn't seem to inherit it."

"Are you of the harper craft?" Lirit pressed, gently trying to pry
more information about her out of her. "Perhaps as something other
than a singer?"

"No, I'm a greenrider. I had thought of being a harper as a youngster.
My green got to me first, however." she replied realizing that he
must be the harper who was blind as she had her knots on. Her father
had spoken of him a time or two and very highly at that.

"Ah, one of the protectors of Pern!" Lirit swept a bow to his
companion. "Then my thanks for keeping our skies clear, lady
greenrider."

Knara laughed softly and replied, "Thank you for the lovely music. I
do enjoy it so."

"I'm glad." Lirit's smile grew warmer at the praise. "That is, after
all, what it's for. Next time I am playing, please feel free to make a
request."

"I will do that. I hope that you enjoy the rest of your evening,
Lirit." Knara replied her tone conveying her enjoyment of their
conversation. it wasn't as often as she would like that she actually
talked to someone she wasn't related to or who wasn't a dragonrider.

"You enjoy yours as well." Lirit gave one last smile before he turned
to make his way. He was done for the evening and it was time to eat -
and his stomach was certainly reminding him rather insistently!
