"There you are!" Zelle fairly pounced on the brownrider when she finally caught up to him. "I have a confession to make."

Blinking, T'marek turned toward Zelle. "Oh? Let me guess, you're not really a greenrider, your gold is just really small and you painted her?"

"Good guess!" Zelle lightly punched T'marek in the arm. "But, alas, that is incorrect. No, I have decided that carving is just not my thing and I'm giving it up. I apologize for having wasted your time in teaching me."

The brownrider found himself relieved. She'd shown more promise than he had. "Really, what made you decide that?"

"Meh. I think I just get too frustrated." Zelle shrugged. Frankly, she got bored with the intense concentrating that trying to get it into some sort of shape resembling something people might recognize. "I'll just leave the carving to you."

One large shoulder lifted in a shrug. "If that's what you want. At least this way I won't have you showing me up on your second attempt." The barest hint of a smile tilted his lips upwards. Had someone not known him, they probably wouldn't even have noticed.

"Trust me, my second attempt...I threw it away." Zelle wrinkled her nose. It hadn't looked the slightest thing like a dragon and it was better off in the trash. "So anyway, what have you been doing to keep yourself busy?"

Lifting a full brow, T'marek looked at her. "You make it sound like I have an ample amount of time when I'm not busy." He told her. "Which I assure you isn't the case."

"I'm simply asking what you have been doing as of late." Zelle slipped her arm into T'marek's and began to lead him down the hallway. "And since tomorrow is a rest day, I'm asking you to join me for some drinks in my weyr. We can play some poker too."

"Do you not have any friends, Zelle?" The brownrider asked, curious. "Why would a young, intelligent woman like yourself want to spend time with a crotchety old brownrider like myself?"

"I do have friends." Zelle assured him with a laugh as she continued to lead him down the corridor. "And I want to spend time with you. Isn't that enough? I like you despite yourself."

"Perhaps I need to rethink the intelligent part..." He said, giving her a sideways glance. "Either that or you're coming down with something. When was the last time you were checked out by a healer?"

"I'm perfectly healthy." Zelle pounded her chest in a hearty gesture. "You just underestimate yourself. Come on, I've got some wine from the Vintner hall and it's just dying to be drunk."

"Oh... I don't know. I haven't touched wine since the night we met. That was lesson enough for me." T'marek replied dryly. "I don't know if I can handle meeting anymore people while I'm drunk."

Zelle giggled. "Surely you can handle anyone after meeting me, eh?" She poked him in the side as they walked. "But don't worry, it will be just the two of us. My weyr is only accessible by dragon so you'll not meet anyone else."

With an exaggerated sigh, the brownrider relented. "Fine, but only a glass or two. I'm still nursing the headache from my last overindulgence."

"That's fine. I never expected you to overindulge." Zelle assured him. She led him out into the bowl and over to a small green her turned her gaze upon her rider and the male companion as they approached. "Come on, mount up!"

Looking at the green, he then looked back at her rider. "Uhm... no offence to Rillith, she is a beautiful green, but I'll fly on Iriketh." He was used to his lifemate. Not only that but he was almost afraid to climb on back of the much smaller green.

With a sigh of relief, T'marek turned just as Iriketh landed. "See, there he is. We'll follow you up."

"You could just ride on Rillith. She doesn't mind." The green nudged the brownrider affectionately, as if to reassure him that what her lifemate said was true. Zelle didn't push the matter, though. "But if you want to ride yours, that's fine too." She quickly mounted her dragon, patting the green affectionately.

"I don't want to upset him..." T'marek said as he watched her climb up onto her lifemate. With a sigh and a shake of his head, he walked toward Iriketh and mounted the brown, feeling much more comfortable on the dragon he knew. "Ladies first." He called out, hoping he hadn't upset either of them.

Zelle waved, then urged her lifemate into the air. The green caught the currents easily and lazed her way to the weyr on the cliff, landing gracefully upon her ledge, then quickly moving over so the brown would have room once he arrived. Zelle dismounted and immediately went into her weyr before T'marek even arrived.
