Resignation

Writers: Roxanne
Date Posted: 30th November 2009

Characters: Jyramikah
Description: Jyramikah drafts a letter of resignation for the Weyrwoman.
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 5, day 27 of Turn 5

Jyramikah was tired of being tired. She was being torn between taking care of her children and being the Weyrwoman's Second. She was going to have to make a very hard decision and soon. Taking out a hide, the goldrider began her missive before she changed her mind as she had several times over the last several months. Once she finished it, she read over it to make sure that it sounded good,

"Dear Traelyn,

It is with much regret that I write this letter informing you of my resignation from my position as Weyrwoman Second. I feel the need to spend more time with my children. The youngest two are still ill and I don't know how much longer I can keep this pace. Please know that I would do anything for the Weyr. I have enjoyed being your second these past turns.

Sincerely, Jyramikah"

Satisfied with the letter, Jyramikah folded it and called for her flit, Tanzin. She tucked the letter into the messenger tube and sent him to find the Weyrwoman. She had mentioned it to the Weyrwoman, but now it was made official. She knew that Akrona was wearing herself thin trying to care for the two sick children and the rambunctious Jyrakon. Although it would not be long before the young boy was old enough to stand for a dragon of his own. She was both dreading and looking forward to the day her son found a lifemate of her own.

Ikoladith sensed her rider's mood and inquired, }:Are you all right?:{

**Yes, Kola, dear. I am just saddened that's all.**

}:You still have me and I have an itch I cannot reach.:{

**I know and I will always have you, love. It is time for a change, don't you think?** Jyramikah replied as she came to scratch the itch that was bothering her lovely golden lifemate. She could only hope that her message was received well as the Weyrwoman had been very busy lately and hard to get ahold of.
