Zelle stared at the glass. It was empty now. It had been empty for at least a half hour, but she still stared at it. She was trying to remember something, but she couldn't. It seemed as if she had forgotten something rather important and she wished she could remember. What was it? Breakfast? Had she eaten? Zelle couldn't remember. That must be it.

"Hey you." M'net said after dismounting and coming in through her weyr ledge. "Have you been hiding in here all day?"

"Huh?" Zelle looked away from her glass and up at M'net. She gave him a sloppy grin. "Hey. Whatcha doin' here?"

"Checking on you." M'net said with a grin. "You slept through drills this morning."

"I did?" Zelle's eyes glazed over, as if she were trying to remember. "No. No I didn't. What time is it?"

M'net pulled back the heavy curtain that separated the living quarters with the ledge and let the light fill the room. "Almost lunch time."

"Naw." Zelle pushed herself to her feet where she wavered a moment before she moved forward to the ledge. "Oh. Shaffit."

"You feeling okay?" M'net wasn't oblivious to her impared condition. He knew she went back to the queen's wing too quickly. She wasn't healed yet and still in alot of pain. "Let me help you." he tucked under her arm to give her a bit of support.

"Uh uh." Zelle shrugged M'net off, though it wasn't intended to be mean. "I gotta go see my wingleader. I'm gonna be in biiiig trouble."

M'net shook his head, "You'll be in even bigger trouble if you fall off that newly healed green of yours. Come on, you're going back to bed. I'll tell her you're sick."

"She'll wonder why I didn't say earlier." Zelle slurred and stopped fighting M'net. She allowed him to guide her over to her bed and she sank down into it.

"She won't wonder. 'Because you're sick' is a perfectly good explaination." M'net joked. He grabbed her furs at the foot of the bed and pulled the lightest one up over her before sitting on the edge of the bed. "There you go, get a bit of rest and maybe you're head will be clearer."

Zelle half smiled and reached out to grasp M'net's hand. "Come back after you talk to her?"

"Yereth just relayed the message, I don't have to go anywhere. At least until evening drills." M'net assured her as he leaned over to the hand he held and gave it a quick kiss.

"Okay." Zelle smiled and squeezed his hand. "Stay then."

"Don't stay awake just for me though." M'net told her. "Do you need anymore fellis for the pain?"

There was a pause and Zelle nodded. Yeah. The fellis was wearing off from earlier. She wasn't really in pain, but it made her feel better regardless. "Please?"

He didn't hesitate in getting up and going to where he knew she kept the wine and jar that contained the fellis. It was his fault that she was in pain, if he hadn't been so stupid in his flying she never would have gotten injured, now it was his duty to see her healed and pain free. "Here you go."

"Thank you." Zelle downed it quickly and handed him back the cup. When he returned to her bedside, the greenrider reached out to clasp his hand and tug at it.

M'net was confused. "What? What else can I do for you? You know all you have to do is say it and it's yours."

"Hold me for while?" Zelle whispered, her eyes drooping. Arms around her, warmth beside her...it would feel so nice.

He was surprised, but didn't waste any time in crawling in next to her after kicking off his boots. It was what he'd always wanted, what he'd fantasized about on more than a few occasions. "Of course. There, that better?"

"Yes." The word came out as a sigh and Zelle let her eyes drift shut. "Better."

As M'net felt her body relax into sleep, he stared down at her. She asked him to hold her. He'd never thought that she would return the feelings he felt, but now here he was, in her bed with her in his arms. He let his fingertips touch her cheek, her jaw, her lips. She moved slightly closer into him, letting out a sigh, and he smiled. He wanted to kiss those cheeks, those lips, that jaw, but he refrained, not wishing to disturb her. He'd let her sleep, he had time now.
