Description: Ojisan and his wife finally get to have some time alone now that they've landed at the Weyr
Location: Harper Hall
Date: month 8, day 20 of Turn 3
If it was one thing Larken could get used to easily in she and her husband's new quarters, it was the luxurious bathing pool. Never in all her Turns had she ever taken such pleasure in a _bath_ before. The size of it could fit two people easily, maybe even _three_. The water was constantly circulated, and the temperature was always just right, neither too hot nor too cold.
Sighing deeply, Larken opened her eyes to stare up at the stone ceiling, watching the steam spiral up and float out towards the door. Stretching languidly, she wondered if Ojisan had returned from his duties yet.
After a few more moments of simply soaking, she rose slowly from the pool and dried off with a warm, soft towel. Slipping into a robe, she pulled her hair around over her shoulder to begin braiding it as she stepped out of the bathing room.
Her husband still had not returned. Larken's hair was braided and well on its way to trying by the time the weary harper made his way to his new home. "I'm sorry, my love," he said as he closed the door behind him. "I didn't expect you would still be awake." Though he was very happy to see that she was. They were _alone_ for the first time in almost a month!
"I nearly fell asleep while bathing." Her eyes were lit as she met him halfway across the room. "I still can't believe how _luxurious_ the bathing room is..."
He didn't wait to hear an explaination. They were _alone_... Ojisan placed his hands on her hips and pulled her to him, bringing his lips to hers in a hungry kiss. He had held back too long and finally he didn't need to hold back any more. No one would see them here.
Larken recognized his mood, just as she was beginning to recognize the sudden, building need in herself as well. It had been nearly a month since they had been alone together... In knowing that there were no seamen there to walk the decks, or even harper passengers to happen upon them, she wrapped her arms around his waist, returning his kiss with as much fervor as he was showing her.
The first wave of aching need passed and he pulled back a bit. "I haven't had a chance to take my bath yet," he whispered breathlessly. "I will be quick."
"You'll enjoy it," she breathed, lightly kissing his cheek before letting her arms slide from him.
"I'll hurry," he promised as he headed towards the bathing area. It was an appealing looking bathing pool, nice and warm and inviting. If his beautiful young wife had not been waiting for him he would have taken his time to relax away the last few candlemarks spent settling apprentices into their new rooms. As it was, scrubbing the sea smell off his body as quickly as possible was the only thing on his mind.
Larken perched on the edge of the bed, listening to the splashing noises coming from the bathing chamber. A half smile curved her lips at how enthusiastic those noises sounded. Enthusiastic and...hurried.
Shards...it had been so long... She could feel her cheeks beginning to flush just _thinking_ about it. And Larken wondered, not for the first time, if all married women were as wanton as she. The flutterings in her stomach increased slightly when those splashing noises stopped.
"Shards and shells," Ojisan muttered as he realized that he had no clean clothes or robe to change into. Even after five turns of marriage, he felt it was highly improper of him to appear before his wife in _only_ his towel, and yet that was better than in the clothes he had spent the day in. He resigned himself to the fact that he would just have to look as hurried as he felt and walked back to their new sleeping room with his clothes in one hand and holding his towel closed with the other.
One of Larken's dark brows rose at the sight of him. She bit her lip against a flushed giggle, but she couldn't quite hide the knowing laughter in her eyes as he approached.
"I'm sorry, my love, I forgot my robe. It's probably packed somewhere I can't find, anyway." He smiled appologetically as he held up his crumpled pile of clothes. "I don't know where to put these."
Despite his Turns, Ojisan still had a well-formed body, though perhaps his stomach was not quite as hard as it once must have been... "Why don't you just...throw them in a corner, and I'll deal with them tomorrow?"
He frowned slightly as he looked around the room. "Which corner? There are boxes and intrument cases shoved in the corners."
She fingered the end of her braid, trying not to show the amusement she was feeling. "Just drop them on the floor then, love."
"Wait, where are _your_ clothes? I'll drop these with them." Ojisan's bad habits had all been broken when he married Larken five turns before.
It was hard to just return to his bachelor mentality again!
Larken reached out, slid her fingers beneath his that held the clothes, gently prying them away from the cloth, holding his eyes all the while. Then, once she had them in her grasp, she continued to steadily hold his gaze as she dropped them unceremoniously to the floor.
"I guess I will have to figure out where everthing goes again," Ojisan shrugged with a knowing smile. He reached down and took her hand in his and gently pulled her to her feet. His wife was only a few inches shorter than he was, which he found to be the perfect height. It meant he hadn't far to lean as he kissed softly. "What would I ever do without you, Larken?"
The young woman smiled. "You'd have to look after your own clothes, shoes, socks..." She lightly wrapped her arms around him. "You'd have to make your own bed..."
He wrapped both arms around her and kissed her soundly, ignoring the fact that his towel dropped to the ground. All his sense of propriety left him as he remembered how much he loved this woman, how much he needed her, how much he depended on her. But especially, how much he had missed her for the last month on the boat.
