J'darin

J'darin

Traelyn didn't know how they got to his weyr, or when. Had they been discreet enough not to be seen? She highly doubted it, but at the moment, she sharding didn't care about _anything_ save the pleasure his hands and his lips were giving her.

All her anger had burned away into an aching desire. It felt so sharding _long_ since she'd been touched like this. When he lifted his head from her neck, she met his eyes and ran her fingers through his hair.

Even angry and with too much wine in him, he was not any more rough with her than she wanted. Every kiss led to a caress until they were stripping each other's festival clothes off as fast as they could. He picked her up and carried her to his bed, laying her gently down before he began kissing her again. Sensitive carver fingers danced along bare skin, lingering over each touch as if she was one of his pieces.

He hadn't slept with anyone, even Dyaera, since the Flight.. and oh did he need her. He whispered softly against her earlobe those words, and then forgot about everything else but her for the next several candlemarks.

Sense was a long time returning to Traelyn. But when she finally did stir enough to open her eyes, she found herself looking up into J'darin's -
they were the only things she could see in the darkened weyr. She remembered waking up just like this with him after Nyith's flight. And these past few candlemarks reminded her of exactly how that had been. A smile whispered across her lips. Shards...but he was a skilled lover. Pleasure rippled through her and she languidly trailed a hand absently across his hips.

The light touch on his bare skin caused him to smile in the darkness, his teeth flashing briefly white as he looked down at her with tenderness showing in the blue depths of his eyes. He felt almost like a new man.

Stress had been bled into love-making and that had turned to pleasure. He covered her hand with his own and said quietly, "I haven't felt this good in several sevendays, Traelyn.." He leaned down to kiss her cheek softly. He wasn't a very rough lover, unless his partner called for it, and their's had been more gentle and long-lasting than anything else.

She turned her head to lightly kiss his lips. "Me neither," she replied, her voice soft. And it was true. It felt so good to be curled up against a warm body, to have his arms around her, his lips against her skin... Shards... Trae lifted her head to find his lips again, smiling as she did so. They still tasted like wine, and, grinning a little impishly, she told him so.

Enjoying the attention, he responded with a kiss and let his hand trail across her back. "Let's see if I can make your's taste like wine.. " He murmured and bent his head to attempt just that. His mind was spiraling very fast around the fact that it was _Traelyn_ he was in bed with, and he was very much glad it was her. He knew it wasn't a requirement that they were lovers, but she was a good match for him as a lover, as they already knew. **So had Kalina been.. ** The thought came, where it didn't belong.
He banished it with a gentle kiss to the side of her neck.

Her eyes closed of their own volition as she enjoyed his lingering touches. It felt to her as though they'd broken through some kind of silent barrier that had risen between them over the past month. It was probably still there, to some extent, but it wasn't as thick as it had been.

}:You needed this,:{ Nyith murmured.

Smiling, Trae raised a hand and ran her fingers through his hair, not wanting to think about anything except for this right now. "Nyith was right in choosing Hasaarth that day," she told him softly.

J'darin chuckled dryly, leaning back to look down at her in the semi-darkness. "I will say that I am so glad she did, and that I hope she was right.. " Relaxed as he was by so much wine, though that influence was fast fading, and then followed by very good sex, the bronzerider was more open and honest than he'd ever been with her. His voice was soft, almost husky as he spilled his greatest fear. "I am afraid, Traelyn. What if I make the wrong decision.. like O'dan? So many lives depend upon Hasaarth and I.." His mind flashed back to his inner thoughts of just a few days ago. It was a relief to tell someone, to tell _her_.

She studied him quietly for a moment. "You're responsible, J'darin, from what I've seen and observed. And you're careful." Gently she ran her nails caressingly down his arm. "I think this fear comes with the title of Weyrleader... But you're not alone. You have very able Wingleaders to help you." She caressed his cheek with the back of a finger. "And I'm here..."

A little shiver of his skin beneath her nails and he pulled her closer, wrapping her up in his arms. His voice was soft as he leaned in to her ear. "I know that I'm not alone, Traelyn. At least not now..." He finished in an even softer tone. "I Just hope I prove worthy of their trust, and your's." He found her lips with his own, gently kissing.

"I think you will," she mururmed.
