W'ser

W'ser

Putting her hands into the redwort solution, she picked up the sterilized
tools and set them carefully on the tray. Orinta put them just so and then
turned to see what her next task might be. As she searched for the
journeyman she had been helping, the apprentice's eyes saw W'ser enter.
She immediately went stiff as the brownrider walked by. **He's so dreamy**

W'ser's mind was churning at full steam as he pondered the hide in his
hand. It was a very interesting piece written by one of his journeymen on

rehabilitation techniques for dragons. Needless to say, W'ser found the
topic more than interesting and had been digging up every bit of information
on it that he could find. So wrapped up was W'ser in the article that he
nearly bumped into the apprentice that he passed by.

"Oh, hello there Orinta," W'ser was just pleased that the girl's name
came to his mind freely enough. While the Weyrdragonhealer had a sharp
memory when it came to his craft he was sometimes lacking in the
department of registering names with faces.

"Uhh...hello sir. How are you and Branth today?" She gulped, hoping she
didn't show her discomfort in her eyes. She didn't know what to say to him.
She probably sounded stupid. **Why didn't I wear the blue tunic?**

W'ser flashed a smile, pleased that the apprentice remembered his
dragon's name. Sometimes those who had not Impressed yet had
difficulty remembering that W'ser was in this craft with a partner-
his brown Branth.

"I am well, as is Branth, he's enjoying the weather from his ledge
currently. What are you working on?" The Weyrdragonhealer questioned
curiously.

"Just finished sterilizing these instruments. I was looking for my journeyman
to find out what to do next, sir." She searched again for the crafter and came
up with nothing. Staring at W'ser nervously, her brain refused to work. "Umm.."

W'ser cast about as well and when he didn't see anyone in sight he
decided to take matters into his own hands, "Well how are you with
organization? I really need to get things rearranged in my office so
it doesn't take me as long to find what I need."

"Ahh...I can read and file," she offered, wondering if he was going to
be in there while she managed. If he was, she'd quickly make a mess
of things. **Oh, I'm going to get to touch his things, where he touched**

"Perfect!" W'ser exclaimed with the same easy going smile that was
often seen on his face. Taking Orinta lightly by the elbow he escorted
the young woman to his office. "As you can see, I'm quite hopeless
when it comes to organization," he said as he pushed the door open to
reveal stacks and stacks of hides.

She walked inside and her face fell just a little. **Seriously?** How could
he do this to her? Still, she supposed he was so busy doing important things
like saving dragons that he couldn't really do this, could he? "Where do they
go?"

W'ser chuckled a little at the look on the girl's face, "Now that I do
have an answer for..." he led her over to the pull out drawers beneath
his book shelf, "All of these are fairly empty so I figure they would
be the perfect location. If you could at least do one stack today I'd
be forever grateful."

"Alphabetical or by number or what?" Orinta was beginning to see something.
He needed a guiding hand in his life to keep him out of messes. She could be
that guiding hand-a help.

"Alphabetically first, and then within that organization sorted by
date." W'ser understood organization theoretically, he just had a hard
time actually _doing_ it. Perhaps if he had someone to come in once a
day, or even just once a sevenday, to organize a bit then his office
would be a lot neater.

"Allright, I can do that." She eyed a pile and then moved forward, intending
to attack it. She was doing her duty, she kept telling herself.
