Syntara sat leaning against Faylith and watched the warm rain fall over River Bluff Weyr. Ever since she and Ar'lis had had their talk Syntara just hadn't felt like herself. Things were just moving too fast and somehow she had both no time think and all the time in the world to sit and do nothing.

**Faylith, love...* She turned and looked at her emerald beauty. **What are we going to do?** It wasn't until she finished her thought that she noticed Faylith's eyes were swirling with the colors of lust and anticipation. Syntara grinned from ear to ear. **You always know exactly what I need!** Faylith launched herself into the air and Syntara ventured outside into the rain.

"Your Erdenth is in fine condition," said M'van as he completed his exam of the wingsecond's bronze. "That score he had a few months ago has healed nicely now."

"Good, he's not told me of any problems," replied K'reyel.

However, before either rider could say anything else, both their dragons noticed the green.

**You want to chase her?** queried M'van.

The only reply was his dragon's roar of challenge as he followed the green. With the same minimal amount of encouragement, the bronze also launched himself into the air.

R'yin was mending a pair of riding straps, inside out of the rain, when he was startled out of his thoughts - of Ciara, but also of the lovely greenrider he'd met last month - by Aerrath's roar of triumph. In the last few sevendays, he'd seen Syntara around the Weyr, and spotted Aerrath flirting with Faylith. Since his brown loved to chase greens, no matter what, R'yin had thought nothing of it. But now..

***It is Faylith.. and she will be mine!*** was the last coherent thought out of the brown as R'yin raced down the steps and headed for Syntara, where a crowd was already gathering.

M'galec was meticulously recopying the list of weyrlings in his hand so that it would be legible to the unaccustomed eye. J'an would probably have quite a hard time decifering his usual healer handwriting. His tast was disturbed however when his bronze informed him of his interest in a rising green.

**Who is it?** he asked, more to buy himself time to finish the name he was copying than any real interest.}:Faylith, a lovely and experienced green.:{ came his bronze's lustful reply.

**Hmmm...** M'galec didn't know who that would be. He hadn't met every green in the Weyr, after all. But in the end, it didn't really matter who the green was bound to - when Dwarkanath rose, his rider followed.
**I'll be right there.**

}:Faylith rises again, Ar'lis. She will be _mine_!:{ Zylarth's roar of challenge echoed off stone as he launched himself into the rain, his eyes swirling redly with desire. While a green could not compare to his golden mate, she was certainly lusty enough to pay attention to.

He remembered this green. He remembered well.

Snarling and fumbling with the bedfurs, Ar'lis was hardly aware of anything save his rising lust as a silent Gaiya looked on. His mind was beginning to merge with his dragon's - and those thoughts and memories of Lenala were being pushed from his head. Only one thing mattered now as his passions roused to dragon-instinct, and that was to satisfy the need and catch her!

Syntara was quite glad to lose herself in the sensations of the flight -
Faylith's pride and lust as she taunted her suitors before taking off, their riders already close at hand, and the sheer joy of not thinking of anything else but the moment at hand. With little more fanfair, Faylith took to the skies, screaming her challenge to the waiting dragons.

Sebeth roused from a doze, blinking his eyes as they began to whirl with lust. His roar caught K'mai's attention. }: Faylith rises!:{ the blue informed him. K'mai smiled, thinking of what a treat it would be to win this one. }:I must hurry!:{ Sebeth said as he launched himself into the rain.

R'yin had joined her by now and leaned close to her. This was a wonderful healing Flight, for both of them, he felt deep in his bones.
Broken hearts might mend with a little help from their dragons. He touched her arm in a bold move for him, driven on by his dragon's desire for Faylith. Then he lost his thoughts, except for the moment, as Aerrath was flying hard after the proud green, determined for both his rider's sake and his, to catch her. The brown roared a challenge to the bronze who was flying just ahead of him, and surged forward even more.

Dwarkanath roared his frustration at being overtaken. It just fueled his determination to prove to them all that _he_ was the best choice for the enticing green who dipped and dived enticingly before them.

Zackariath joined the flight bit late. He had had a argument with his rider whether or not he was ready for it. But the bronze wanted to prove himself. Prove that he was healed and still able to catch them. He answered the challenging roars with his own. }:She'll be mine!:{, he trumpeted.

Zylarth snarled in answer to that trumpet. The green was _his_! He'd caught her before, and he'd do it again! He angled his wings, found the air current that would lift him higher, and soared upon it. The delicious green was a few dragonlengths ahead, and he wondered if she knew just how well he could see her, even in all this rain. The bronze called to her, and Ar'lis echoed that call as his hands boldly touched Syntara's hips.

Despite the mental link with her green, Syntara's mind was pulledd back onto the ground by Ar'lis's touch. She was aware if the rain, now soaking through their clothes, the warmth of the air, the passion of the men around her, and her own. But when ar'lis had touched her, something inside cried out and she pulled away from him - and toward R'yin.

In the sky, Faylith reacted to her rider's influence; while the flight wasn't over yet, the green darted away from Zylarth and teased Aerrath to come a little closer with a look and a trumpet.

Growling, Sebeth swerved between the larger dragons, moving toward the front of the pack. The green had not chosen yet, and he was determined to catch her attention.

Zackariath tried to impress the green with his skillful flying. Only to regret it moment later when his scarred wing sent a protest to his nerves. He dropped to the back of pack chasers. His changes to catch her were gone, the bronze knew, but he was still going to see the flight to the end. As long as he didn't try anything fancy his wing was all right.

Closer - that was what K'reyel was urging Erdenth to do. To get closer to this lovely enticing green. He dived past a blue, trying to make his presence noted.

The blue snarled, for Kiloth, and Kiloth it was wanted to have Faylith.

Dwarkanath had soared higher above, looking for an opening. The whole left by the other bronze was the chance he had been waiting for. He folded his wings back a bit and dove neatly in to the vacant slot, ignoring the enraged blue and keeping his eyes fixed on Faylith. This particular green was highly prized, and the bronze was determined that at this end of this high flying flight she would be his reward.

Aerrath roared in response to this beautiful, flirty green and with a few strong wingbeats was right behind. }: So beautiful!:{ She was beautiful! She was his! R'yin's mind was echoing Aerrath's, and he touched Syntara with more certainity, and surety than he had shown at first. They were going to win her.. And they were right. Syntara reacted to R'yin's touch and for a second time that flight, Faylith felt her rider's will. Minutes later, Faylith attempted to dive to throw off her persures, but Aerrath was too well position for that - in a flash he was beside her and entertwining himself with her.

On the ground Syntara pulled R'yin closer to her as they made their way to the mating cots, stripping off rain soaked clothing as they went.
