Sasima

Sasima finished with her work early and then went to the baths. She
soaked in the heated water for a bit and was about to get out. Dunking
under the water she came up and began to cleanse her hair with sweet sand.

W'ser wasn't a pervert, really, he'd gone into the bathing pools
himself to get cleaned up after a particularly stressful situation in
the dragon infirmary. Dressed in clean clothes, his still damp hair
darkening the collar of his shirt, the Weyrdragonhealer caught sight
of a familiar face and smiled as he grabbed a towel and headed over to
where she was. She'd just finished shampooing and looked as though she
were about to get out of the pool.

"Towel?" He offered with a grin.

She grinned and sank back under the water washing the suds out of her
hair. Then rose from the water with a saucy smile to answer his grin.
Water sluiced off of her and she reached for the towel slowly as the
cooler air had its natural effect on her body. "Don't mind if I do."

It took every ounce of self control not to let his eyes travel the
course of Sasima's body, but his blue orbs never wavered from hers,
although one eyebrow did arch as he smirked, "Always glad to lend a
helping hand." He hadn't seen Sasima in the course of the past few
days, due mostly to their conflicting schedules.

The Weyr wasn't the prudish place a Hold was but then Dragonsfall
being so much colder than other places tended to keep the clothes on
most people the majority of the time. She might have been raised in
the Hold but she'd gotten out and for that she was thankful. She took
the towel and met his eyes as she got the worst bits and then wrapped
it around her.

"I've missed you," she said turning to her stack of clothing and
carrying them behind the dressing screen.

W'ser watched Sasima's silhouette as she dressed, his memory filling
in what his eyes couldn't see.

"I've missed you too." It was true, she had run across his mind often
as he sat up late at night doing work in his office.

"Then we should fix that," she replied as she came out from behind the
screen, clothed and toweling her hair dry.

"What are your plans for the rest of the day?" He asked.

"I'm done," she smiled. "I work the morning shift usually so my
evenings are my own."

"Well, I just finished surgery so I am free for the rest of the
evening." He wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

The towel was dropped forgotten on the bench and she leaned into his
embrace. "Maybe some dinner together?"

"Dinner sounds perfect." W'ser leaned in and pressed a kiss to the top
of Sasima's head, inhaling the fresh, clean scent of her hair in the
process. "Do you want to head to the Dining Cavern now, or do you
want a chance to finish your..." he waved his hands in her general
direction, "womanly, bath-time... things." He grinned.

She shook her head with a grin. "Dinner is good and I'm done with the
bath time things."

"Perfect." W'ser said as brought up his arm, and then placed her hand
on it, "Allow me to escort you to the Dining Cavern then," he winked
as he began leading her, "I am famished."

She squeezed his arm. "Me too."

Coming in to the Dining Cavern, W'ser nodded to a few riders, he noted
with amusement the look of surprise in their eyes to see the
Weyrdragonhealer eating dinner in the cavern rather than in his office
as he so often did. As they reached the service line, W'ser was
reluctant to break contact with Sasima, because touching her, even
innocently, felt so right.

She couldn't help feeling that people looking in their direction
wondered why he would be with someone as unimportant as she. No more
than just a drudge and flight moth, She wondered herself at times.
Secretly she watched his profile as he selected his meal and marveled
at the feelings that he aroused in her. W'ser was nothing like anyone
else she'd ever met, added to that, he seemed to care what she though
and felt. She finished filling her plate and then looked around for a
table.

"Over there?" She pointed to one that was tucked into a corner.

"Looks perfect." W'ser agreed, following the woman as they weaved
through people and tables to get to the corner. The brownrider
couldn't help but notice the feminine sway of Sasima's hips as she
walked. Relationships had never much interested W'ser, he'd always
preferred his work to someone else's company. It was just different
with Sasima, she was so easy and natural to be around, and there was
no denying the physical chemistry that they shared.

Once at the table W'ser set down his tray and then pulled Sasima's
chair out for her, "So how was your day?" He asked as he circled and
sat across from her.

"It was good," she smiled. "I'm learning some of the hidework for the
incoming tithe trains. So it was busy today." She was fairly certain
he'd heard the commotion in the Weyrbowl when the train had arrived
from Amber Hills. Those days were very busy in the lower caverns. But
luckily on days like this her sift started early and ended early.

The Weyrdragonhealer directed a forkful of food to his mouth, chewing
on it thoughtfully, "Hm, I wonder if that means I might have some new
supplies coming into the infirmary?" He was running slim on a few
things, not completely out yet, but he would definitely fill better
when new stock arrived.

"I wouldn't be surprised," she smiled. "Amber Hills Lord is always generous."

"Thank Faranth." W'ser agreed knowing that his apprentices would see
to sorting and stocking anything that the infirmary received from
Amber Hills.

"Mmhmm," she smiled with her mouth full. She swallowed and then asked.
"How was your day?

W'ser tilted his head as he raised his shoulders, "It was..tense. I
performed surgery on a wing joint, I had several journeymen sitting in
on the procedure to learn, and that's always nerve wracking." Having
someone over his shoulder made W'ser slightly uncomfortable but he
knew it was the best way for them to learn.

"I'm sure," she said. They were almost finished with their meal and
she pushed her plate away slightly. "How did the surgery go?"

"It went well, successful, even. The dragon should recover fully."
W'ser also pushed his plate away, draining the last of his klah as
well. "But let's forget about work, I would like to talk about dessert
back at my place." He winked at Sasima with a grin.

A slow smile spread across her face. "Dessert? I though you'd never ask!"

W'ser stood and extended his hand to Sasima, "Shall we then, milady?"

"We most definitely should," she said and put her hand in his.
