Z'an

Z'an

Dipping into the bathing pool with relish, Z'an leaned against the
side, half-floating as he let the warmth seep into his muscles. A good
long soak after drills was more than welcome; it had almost become a
requirement and it had become a habit for him. The bathing wasn't as
important, though he did indeed bathe the sweat and grime off, it was
the simple act of quiet relaxation.

Varija entered the bathing cavern. A pretadory smile flashed on her
face when she saw Z'an already there. A young, handsome brownrider.

"Hello, Z'an, do you mind if I join you?" she asked. Of course she
knew his name, she made sure she always did.

One eye opened slowly. He knew the woman fairly well...she seemed to
turn up often after Vicarth had flown her green. He offered a nod. "Go
ahead." He smiled and leaned his head back.

"Good," Varija smiled and removed her clothes in rather showy manner.
She entered the water with a pleased sigh.

He couldn't help it...he watched and appreciated. She was an
attractive woman, but he had noticed that she had been making herself
much more seen around him than she had before the flight. He stretched
out his legs and sighed deeply. "Water feels good after today, doesn't
it?"

"Yes it does," Varija said and rested her head against the pools rim,
which just _happened_ to push her breasts up. Subtlety was not her
thing.

He suddenly chuckled. "Nice view, Varija, and I appreciate the display."

"I'm glad you like it," Varija replied with seductive purr in her
voice. She reached out her leg under water, to rub it against his.

He grinned and shook his head slowly. "Don't you ever get tired of
rubbing up against me, Varija?"

"Handsome young man like you, never!" Varija replied.

"Not that I don't appreciate the attention, sweet, and I can't say I'm
not interested..." He sat up, gripped her foot and stroked her instep
lightly. "As long as you keep in mind that I don't do permanent."

"Well, I can do one nighters," Varija purred, not telling him she
wanted permanent. But she took what she got whenever she got it.

He chuckled. "We've done that, but one more wouldn't hurt." He eyed
her then, a niggling of caution emerging in the back of his mind. She
did have a reputation for obsessing and with his constant travel
between Dolphin Cove and River Bluff, he didn't really have the time
to deal with an obsessive green rider. "But not today."

"Aw, come on Z'an, I can help you relax," Varija was nothing but presistant.

He sat straight and put aside her foot. It was unlike him to refuse
female company, but she was just a little too clingy for his tastes.
Even Gelira, who had an outright claim on his attention due to her
pregnancy wasn't so insistent. "The water has done that for me." He
rose and flicked water from his hair. "Perhaps later."

"Z'an!" there was anger in her voice, and she covered it quickly. "You
got me...excited. It will be cruel to leave me like this... in this
state," Varija tried once more, insinuation in her throaty, sexy voice.

He sighed and arched a brow. "No, I didn't, Varija. You did that to
yourself." Normally, Z'an would have leapt at the chance to have a
woman in his bed for the evening, but she was coming on far too strong
for his tastes. "We both know it." He gave a crooked smile. "Maybe
later."

"Later," Varija said, interpreting his words in her mind as a promise...
