Who runs the club?

The Council runs the club. They are a democratic body selected from among the ranks of the members. Each council member has specific administrative tasks, but when it comes to club policy, they decide as a whole.

Area Managers

NOTE: Area Managers are not full council members. They can be contacted about timelining and calendaring issues but not about questions properly addressed to The Council.

Area Manager Duties

1. The area managers are in charge of updating the website with the posts sent to the mailing lists on a timely basis.
2. They also manage weather, flights (other than gold flights), threadfall for the calendars in their areas. If you have questions about the calendar in any area, contact the correct Area Manager.
3. Welcome Wagon: The area managers also try to make sure we take care of new members, including the ones who haven't found their way to us yet. They welcome new members and make sure all our newbies get the very best of care.

With Council, Level One Rankers, and Mentors, it can be confusing trying to figure out who you should ask about what! This is meant to be a rough breakdown of who you ask for approval in any given circumstance.

Who do I ask?

The Council

1. Ranking persona deaths
2. Storylines that involve the majority of members
3. Storylines that don't follow usual canon
4. Finding flit eggs
5. Final list of candidates to Impress, excluding Gold

Level One

1. Killing off a non-ranking persona
2. Murder/other major crime against NPC/ONPC
3. Serious injury to a persona (such as a Threadscore that would ground a rider for more than one or two sevendays)
4. Promotion of a persona to a higher rank (such as an apprentice to a journeyman)
5. Weyrleader must approve jumps /between/ times and dragons talking to non-riders
6. Any storyline that will affect the area as a whole.
7. Impression from the Stands (Note: You must ALSO gain approval from the writer of the goldrider whose Hatching it is.)
