There's a new man on the scene! RBW welcomes its new Weyrlingmaster, H'vack. The bronzerider is seen getting familiar with the Weyrdragonhealer, Y'gel and the two of them seem to hit it off.
Y'gel also asks Briata about what she wants to do regarding their weyrmating. Does she want a ceremony or what?
Even as U'das prepares to step down as Wingleader at River Bluff, he finishes up some wing evaluations and S'jen gets a quick evaluation. The old bronzerider also seeks out Bahji for advice about living with blindness. The Weyrleader speaks to U'das about his options and they end up drinking too much.
U'das holds a meeting with the wing to talk over the upcoming changes and his health problems. His wing members bring up their concern for him and R'sedel lets him know that he's been a good leader.
Bahji accidentally meets the Weyrwoman on one of Rhosyn's good days as she wanders through the weaver area. Bahji also shares the news with E'rae that he's going to be a father and the two of them come to an understanding.
D'arvn was seen (or unseen) giving Bahji a firelizard egg for Turn's End. The weaver girl was quite happy about it, though nervous as well. The flit hatched and the girl ended up with a bronze!
Baji's father came to the Weyr to get his daughter back and things didn't go as he planned. The Weyrwoman intervened on the girl's behalf and when Jitarim didn't behave and struck his daughter, he was told to leave.
After she finds out K'sedel told N'vanik about what was wrong with her after telling him not to, Rhosyn finds herself having an angry conversation with her Weyrleader.
Z'an comes to visit while the Weyrwoman is indisposed and she turns him away with Gelira's help. Of course the brownrider sees that as another challenge. Gelira, meanwhile, is also fielding questions from K'mai, who wants to know what's going on with the Weyrwoman.
When she gets ready for visitors Rhosyn does see Z'an and the two of them have an interesting conversation about N'vanik and his order to stay away from her.
Bronzerider D'ren was seen being nervous around goldrider Lenala. Even after the Flight he isn't sure around her and seems to want to spend more time with her. Then again, don't they all? Lenala, for her part, takes the boy in and shows him a good time.
On the other hand, the goldrider is actually the voice of reason when she is seen with Rhosyn after the Weyrwoman comes back on duty. Someone is having a bad day.
Wandering seacrafter Sabonus has returned to River Bluff to spend some time with Uetia after so long gone. They read a letter from her brother explaining that he plans to move to Sunstone Seahold to the new seacraft hall being built. Jayonne isn't too happy to hear that the seacrafter is coming back.
Orlaith lays another clutch of 40 eggs! The gold and Nikornath are both proud and it means that candidates are getting ready for a Hatching as well as the rest of the Weyr!
Rhosyn meets with Bedjon and decides to let the boy Stand since he seems to be healthy and know what he's doing. Eilira also meets the Weyrwoman and the girl becomes an official candidate for now.
K'mai and E'rae have a chat with L'ris to welcome the kid into the fighting wings. They move to take him under their wing. Poor L'ris!
