February was a great month for River Bluff. The Gather at Sunstone Seahold was attended by quite a few riders. The Weyrleaders arrived with the rest of the fighting wings behind them, much to the holders' awe. They also went to the hatching at Dolphin Cove.
The Weyrwoman and Briata got the final details for her gather clothing taken care of. Then, in a tender moment, the weaver found Y'gel drunk, thinking of his past weyrmate. Upset that it was hard to remember her sometimes, he needed comforting.
D'arvn and E'rae had a chat about life over some klah. E'rae shrugged off his advances, likely due to his interest in greenrider Jaylene. D'arvn behaved a little better as he helped D'lorn scout recognition points for the weyrlings.
Nidogath and Villith chatted together while on the Rim. The two seemed to be on rocky ground at first, but then the blue managed to turn things around.
D'lorn and L'ris met up to discuss the problems he was having with Tyerth. The very excited brown seemed to realize that his rider was upset with him. Communication started to improve.
K'dee and A'shel seemed to be starting a friendship. Perhaps the bronzerider is learning how to deal with his classmates to get them together?
Sabonus came to Rhosyn and the Weyrwoman learned she was losing a candidate. The boy announced his intentions to work with the harbormaster and go sailing.
Uetia and D'lorn caught up with each other. The two talked about Sabonus and about greenriding. Uetia seems to be accepting the ex-candidate's decision, though she appears to miss him. The chat between them after the hatching was hard to read. Poor Uetia was caught offguard by his decision to leave.
S'yei was busy. He caught up with D'lorn to talk about the new weyrling class and his past as a vintner. He also took Blayre on a date. Will the two of them do something else?
A new transfer occurred, with D'ren from DCW coming over to join the River Bluff wings. Rhosyn welcomed him, glad to see a young bronzerider in the Weyrleader's Wing.
G'wen and Neath from Dragonsfall made a visit to assist with the cleanup after the hurricanes. The green had a bad first impression of the Weyr, but she did meet the senior queen.
