Before the eggs had come open, Rhosyn and Y'gel checked them to make sure everything was progressing as it should. The eggs were healthy, much to their satisfaction. Layris had also tried to make moves on Jaylene at his own expense. Pastrah followed Rhosyn on her rounds, making good on his promise to try to be a candidate. The Weyrwoman showed him another side of dragonriding. J'ren and the Weyrwoman shared a few drinks, discussing Weyr business and other things. The Weyrwoman gave him a quick warning about hold women.
Blayre also came by to help the Weyrwoman pick wines for the hatching. She got to sample some good cheese as well and it's certain the event will have good food.
Y'gel and Briata celebrated the girl's birthingday. They seem to be getting better about their friendship. Blayre seems upset about the cook's choices of wine. Perhaps he should see the Headwoman to get things right.
So things have been busy at River Bluff this month. Everyone was caught up with celebrating the hatching and welcoming the new weyrlings. Congrats to A'shel, F'veas, L'ris, and A'tel! They will now enter weyrlinghood under the watchful eyes of D'lorn, the new Weyrlingmaster Third!
Also at the hatching, the Weyrleaders shared the first dance. Rhosyn and K'sedel opened the night, inviting everyone else onto the floor afterwards. P'veas saw his son who impressed at the hatching. The greenrider was proud of the new brownrider. K'dee's parents congratulated the Weyr's newest bronzerider. The boy is ecstatic. L'ris got congratulations from both of his fathers. A'shel got help from Y'gel after he impressed Himarth! Rhosyn also shared a dance with R'enh, who came over from Dolphin Cove with Meledei.
S'yei and K'mai met up while washing their dragons. The two of them promised to get together again. S'yei's Yalith was also one of the dragons that chased after green Reanth. In the end, though, the green was caught by blue Leith, her wingmate. E'rae and Jaylene enjoyed a night together. Time will only tell what happens there. Will the wingthird get her wingrider under her thumb?
Krizdee and Layris discussed some of the kitchen girls, being boys in a Weyr.
E'rae and Im're also had a chat, bluerider-to-bluerider. The young rider is still healing in the queens' wing, but his former wingmates are still thinking about him.
So, there are plenty of folks to post with at RBW. If you don't have a persona here, make one. We have a new weyrling class, a new persona to write with, active Wingleaders, and other great folks. Make a crafter or a staffer! Plots to come, people.
