Cyradis calls in the other goldriders to tell them about her pregnancy.
Jeyme moves in with D'hol, planning to stay with him through her pregnancy. Saibra asks him about the rumors that he now has a weyrmate. Unfortunately, Jeyme has a miscarriage and assumes she should move out. D'hol assures her they can try again, and just like that, he really does have a weyrmate.
An old friend of D'hol's stops by for a visit and gives Jeyme some advice.
L'cor wants to visit his father for the Lord's birthingday, but he's too young to /between/ alone so he asks N'vanik for help with finding someone. After graduating to Senior Weyrling, L'cor admits his feelings to Oria.
R'enh and Saibra get to know each other better. R'enh also rescues the Dragonsfall Weyrwoman from a boring conversation at the Hatching.
Lord Corowal tells N'vanik that the Candidate calling himself Amitko is a jailbreaking criminal named Jenackt. N'vanik decides he'll let the young man stay -- after they've had a chat.
D'hol and Cyradis have a discussion that seems to put their past to rest. During the conversation, they share a good-bye kiss and are seen by a drudge. The drudge shares gossip with their friends and the rumors spread. Through a weyrling, Jeyme finds out there are whispers that D'hol is the father of the baby Cyradis is carrying. The bronzerider denies it and reassures the young woman. Then he gives the rumor-spreading weyrling a talking to, and the Weyrwoman herself has strong words for the youngster as well.
