Lots of meeting and greeting going on at the Hatching. Cyradis and Hygalia chat. Rhosyn and Hygalia also chat. Rhosyn says hello to R'enh and N'vanik. L'cor and Oria dance. N'vanik confronts the Lord Holder about L'cor and they smooth over their earlier tension.
N'vanik and Cyradis meet with many of the new Weyrlings. C'baz and Malyna both get personal congratulations from the Weyrleaders.
X'ian loses a flight and burns off his dragonlust with a man. He's confused and uncomfortable after the encounter.
Tavia and U'kaiah talk about their relationship and Tavia says she's willing to try moving to Dragonsfall so they can be in the same Weyr.
Meledei brings bubblies to D'hol and gets him to talk a bit. D'hol goes to Qorri for information about N'vanik's leadership style. D'hol also tries to make nice with Cyradis. D'hol decides to keep K'deren on as his Wingsecond. New Weyrling Jeyme talks to him and he encourages her to cut her hair. She does, deciding to leave everything about her old life behind.
Cyradis asks Meledei to keep an eye on L'cor. Later Meledei confronts L'cor about why his father acknowledged him and if things might have been different if he'd impressed something other than bronze.
