The past two months have been busy in Emerald Falls hold.
Steward Sarban met journeyman weaver Panyin to commission some new tapestries for the hold. Panyin come up with two different ideas, which were presented to Lord Holder Corowal. He surprised them commissioning _both_ tapestries. One in full size and one in smaller size.
Corowal also held a meeting with his staff: Vanea ja Sarban and introduced them to his new bride, Felyna. They settled the date for the wedding, for month two. It means a busy months ahead in the hold, but at least the staff has some time to prepare for it.
Just to keep Corowal for getting too full of himself, he had an interesting visitor when Erilite appeared to his office, claiming to be his daughter. Corowal wasn't ready to accept the claim straight away, although he had to admit he had known Erilite's mother. Corowal promised to investigate her claim, so at least he didn't deny her outright. Stay tune to see how it turns out!
After hearing the news of Corowal's upcoming marriage, Harper Hallmaster Almonteo paid Emerald Falls Hold a visit. He and Corowal had a long and interesting discussion, slowly rebuilding the trust between the hold and the hall. Perhaps it leads to the Hall's return? That is what Corowal is hoping for.
Vanea's flit egg finally hatched! Her daughter Neata was present when the egg started to rock. For a while she felt the temptation to not to call her mother and impress the flit for herself. But in the end, she did call for her mother and Vanea came just in time to impress a brown firelizard. Vanea's aging mother named the newest member of their family to Tone.
Sungazer's latest docking to the Emerald Fall's port was not a happy occasion. Corowal was already waiting the river boat, since he had received the message of Helvar's (his as-sistant steward) death. He met Captain Lineal and informed him about the hearing he was going to arrange next day and received the reports concerning Helvar's death.
Lineal and the crewmembers involved in the incident came to the hearing. After studying the reports and asking few sensitive but important questions, Corowal came to the conclusion that Sungazer's crew was not to be blamed on Helvar's death and he was not going to prosecute anyone.
The Lord holder also warned Erassa that her position as his childrens fostermother was no long as secure as it had been and that she might not be needed after the wedding. After all, baby Wallia was no longer baby, although she is still blind and has special needs. What will happen to Erassa? Is there something she can do to secure her position?
