Physical Description of Persona:
Arathisa is tall and gangly looking. She inherited her father's height and her mother's curly brown hair which she keeps tied up out of the way most of the time. Her eyes are a light brown whereas her hair is a darker shade of brown. Her complexion is darker than what it should be from all the time she spent outside instead of inside where her mother says she should be learning how to properly care for a house and family.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Arathisa is a very broadminded individual. She doesn't see why she has to stay inside and study things she won't ever need as she has no plans for a family. She is afraid that her family really will marry her off to make their holding more profitable. However, her fear makes her even more determined to find a future that doesn't being married and pregnant all the time.

History of Persona:
Arathisa was born in a small hold and is the youngest of six children. Her sisters have all been married off to men who made advantageous connections for her parents' holding. Arathisa spends most of her time with the children of neighbors trying to not learn what her family thinks she must.

She dreamed of being able to apprentice to a craft so that she won't have to be married off and bear children to some man who is likely to be twice her age. It didn't really matter to her which craft, but her interests lay with seacrafting and dolphineering. Living so close to the sea, she got to see a lot of the ships and sea.

She had come up with a plan to talk a ship's captain into letting her come aboard so that she could learn how to be a sea crafter, but hadn't found the right captain yet. The last one she had asked only laughed at her and told her to go home. She was desperate enough to try anything, even dressing up as a young boy to be able to pursue her dreams. When the Dolphineers came looking for apprentices, she decided she would apprentice with them instead. The only problem would be convincing her parents to let her go.
