Physical Description of Persona:
Keles is petite and tiny, looking more child than woman even after the birth of her son. Her blonde hair used to be her pride and joy, hanging below her waist, but as her pregnancy progressed, she cut the mass to her jawline after an argument with her husband. She's kept it that length ever since, simply because he likes it long. Her eyes are what she considers 'unremarkable' blue, and her complexion is creamily pale.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Resigned seems to describe Keles best in the past few months. Her life hasn't exactly turned out as she'd originally hoped, but she tries to make the best of what she has. Unfortunately, even her quiet optimism isn't enough to overcome her husband's resistance to the mere fact of being married at this point in his life. She's discovered a deep well of her own stubbornness determined to make the marriage work and not let Dawyn walk all over her in the process. Her son, originally the source of much regret while she was pregnant, has become the central joy of her life.

History of Persona:
Keles' mother died when she was seven, birthing the last of ten children. Her father is a herder for Garnet Valley, and his many children fell under his sister's care while they were still small enough to need looking after. By the time Keles was twelve, she was working in the hold kitchens, a position she figured she'd hold for the rest of her life unless she married away from the Hold itself.

When a young smithcrafter began romancing her, she thought that this at least would offer a change in her life, something more than working in the kitchens and marrying a hold resident. Craft wives didn't seem to have quite as mundane lives as the hold wives did, so she encouraged Dawyn's attentions. Unfortunately for her, Dawyn had little intentions of anything serious coming of the relationship, and when she ended up pregnant, he protested. Eventually he gave in, acknowledging that Keles' child was indeed his, and they married in early month five of last turn.

The marriage proved quite rocky, with fights and sleeping separately as common as any time spent together. When she was only a month from the end of the pregnancy, a petulant comment by Dawyn about the braid she'd put her long hair into resulted in her chopping the long mass off. She decided then and there to seize more control over her life, and although it has made the relationship with her husband worse at present, she hopes that in the long run he will grow up. Her son's birth only solidified her resolve, since she is determined that young Kelwyn will grow up with a pair of loving parents rather than the lackluster raising she received herself.
