Physical Description of Persona:
On the shorter side, G'len would probably be around 5'7" if he ever bothered to check. He has a light frame, but it is well proportioned and toned from many years of dragonriding. His darker complexion he gets more from ancestry than sun. He has laugh lines round his mouth and a crinkle on his forehead from a habit of furrowing his brow when he reads, but his face is otherwise wrinkle free so far. He had dark eyes and dark hair... well, it _used_ to be dark. Now it's peppered
silver too, but he still loves it, so he keeps it annoyingly long to where it just touches his shoulders.

Emotional Description of Persona:
You'll never find a more cheerful, talkative man. He's rarely in a foul mood, always ready to make a joke or sing a baudy out-of-tune song to try and brighten somebody's day. He's a bit of a clutz, but has no problem laughing at himself when he is. He's a loyal friend and is always on the lookout for more. He hardly ever sleeps, and can often be found in the dining cavern or favorite tavern until the wee hours -- and then be ready to do drills the next morning!

History of Persona:
Gaelen was born under a full moon as the Tirebitter trading caravan was crossing to Topaz Sea Hold. He loved the life of a trader as a child, always going new places and meeting new people. His life was simple and happy, and between his six siblings and the other children of the caravan, he grew up surrounded by friends.

It was during a stop to the Thayan Peak Weyrhold, that Gaelen was searched at seventeen turns. He impressed a green named Tobereth two days later. G'len wasn't at all surprised in his dragon's color, having had two secretive relationships prior to impressing. His parents and siblings had known about his preference, and were happy that at the Weyrhold he would find an accepting new family.

G'len flourished at the Weyrhold, and was group leader of his weyrling class. He made a happy discovery just before graduation, that Tobereth was a search dragon! After graduation, he was placed with a Wing, and after six turns became Wingthird. With the return of Thread and the boom of queen clutches, G'len resigned his position as wingthird to devote more time in conducting Search. Weyrlingmaster Y'sani recently promoted G'len to Wingthird when the position became open, and G'len couldn't be happier, loving to help the young ones Tobereth had searched become proper dragonriders.
