Physical Description of Persona:
Standing about 5'7" tall, Janani has a fairly average appearance. She has brown hair, streaked with auburn highlights that she likes to wear loose and long. Her cheekbones sit high and her face has a bit of an oblong shape with a fairly pointed chin. She is not too skinny nor overly large, but rather has fairly average womanly curves. She loves both long flowing dresses and a nice comfortable pair of breeches, depending on her mood and her activity.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Strong, spirited, independent, passionate. These are just some of the words that describe Janani. She is a rather opinionated and independent thinker, not afraid to let her ideas be heard or acted upon. While not normally quick to cause trouble, when Janani is fired up or passionate about something, she can often make quick decisions, be they good or bad. Her passions run deep and her opinions just as strong. Some might even call her stubborn at times. Yet, on the other hand, she is kind and considerate and would do anything to help or protect those who sought her out. Overall, she gets along well with most, unless of course she finds them to be too egotistical or unjust. Then, her fiery side will emerge. She has a never give up mentality. No matter the circumstances, she would fight to the end or until justice has been done. Just as her passions run deep for things of the world, so too, they run deep for people. Janani grew up in a loving household, and though she knows her status as goldrider means she will not have the same life-long relationship her parents shared, she is deeply passionate when she does choose to remain with a partner for any length of time.

History of Persona:
Janani was second child born to gentle, loving parents, at Little Island Hold, beholden to Opal Cove Hold. Her father, Flamal, was a senior journeyman tanner by trade. Her mother, Slaimira, took care of the children and helped around the Hold. The pair doted on their children, showering them with love and strength throughout their childhood.

Janani grew up to be a strong, independent thinker who wanted nothing more than to join her father in his craft. Such was not to be, for girls did not have that luxury. Janani angrily pounded her fists and cried when she learned of this. Why could she not pursue her life's dream? It was unfair! She tried to tout that idea among her classmates, but only got laughed at and ridiculed by most. Janani didn't care, in her heart of hear she _knew_ that the girls were just as strong as the boys, if not stronger. She studied all she could, reading when others would have called her foolish, she was intent on proving she could in fact out master and out maneuver any boy apprentice.

So intent on her 'cause,' and with a bit of a rash attitude, Janani did not think of all the consequences when she donned her brother's clothes one day at age 14 and headed to the Hall to apply as an apprentice Tanner. Her father, being away at the time, had no idea of her actions. She quickly impressed those she met with her eloquence and knowledge, and might have been accepted as an apprentice if her cap had not come lose and given her away.

The shock and outrage directed at her was intense, and for a moment Janani felt true fear. Even knowing she was outnumbered, her courage and strength allowed her to stand tall. She would have defended herself by whatever means necessary had the riders from Dragonsfall Weyr not been there to witness the situation.

Before the others could truly do her harm, they stepped in and whisked her away, back to her home. It was her first ever dragonride. Janani felt the wind whip through her hair and the air fill her lungs and she knew she would never be the same again. When the kind rider, B'lat, landed at her home, he bide her to be well and to not get into any more scrapes or scuffles with the lads over at the Hall.

Janani thanked him and watched, wide-eyed and wondering as the dragon took off and disappeared into the sky. She, of course, had to suffer the consequences of her actions both at home and among her peers. Her father, disappointed with her, took her to the Hall to apologize. Thankfully, the hallmaster, a good friend of his excused Janani's behavior with a stern warning and a promise she would _never_ try such a thing again. She agreed, knowing her dream to follow her father's footsteps would never be accessible to her.

Flamal, sad to see the light in his daughter's fiery eyes dim, found other ways to encourage her. He told her repeatedly that someday, she would influence those around her, for in his heart, he knew she would lead others, no matter how small the task might be.

To everyone's surprise, B'lat returned nearly 3 Turns to the day of their first encounter, speaking of a golden egg lying on the sands at Dragonsfall Weyr. He had remembered Janani and he, being a searchrider, wanted her to come with him, to Stand as a candidate for the queen egg. Shocked Janani didn't know what to say. It was her father and mother who finally convinced her this was what she had always been destined for. "You have always made us proud, daughter. Make us proud this day by accepting this honor." They had spoken those words to her and Janani accepted B'lat's offer. Much to her surprise she Impressed her golden lifemate, Angdelouth, not long after. After only a few turns at Dragonsfall Weyr, Janani moved to River Bluff Weyr, as some of the younger goldriders were shifted to allow for new bloodlines in the Weyrs. Together the pair strives to be the best and to bring out the best in all those around them, no matter what it takes.

When word reached River Bluff Weyr that Dolphin Cove Weyr needed some assistance with the training of their younger, junior queens, Janani, of course, accepted. She didn't expect to fall in love with the warmth and beauty of the place. Knowing she wasn't truly needed at River Bluff at the time, Janani has decided to remain in the tropical region of Dolphin Cove.

Description of Dragon:
Angdelouth is a strong-willed, spirited gold. She believes, like her rider, that she can do anything with hard work and desire. She can be gentle or firm with other riders or dragons depending on her mood or the situation at hand. She's a passionate dragon who believes whole-heartedly in their mission to protect Pern.

Her hide is a bright golden color like the sun, speckled with a deeper shade of an almost golden-bronze throughout her hide. Angdelouth is a proud and ofttimes vain dragon who feels she shines just like the sun when she flies through the skies of Pern.
