Physical Description of Persona:
Turns of working the fields has given Surryad a healthy tan and a well muscled upper body. At 5'10, he looks like he's still growing into his musculature, with his body narrowing to a trim waist. Large blue-grey eyes framed with thick lashes stand out against his round face. His black hair is short and he cuts it whenever it tries to get into his eyes. If found smiling, Surryad has a dimple in his right cheek. Scratches and tiny scars dot his forearms and calves.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Surryad is a reserved teenager. He's not one for lengthy conversations or gossiping. He prefers solitude or working with others in silence, and his calm, listening appearance makes him a target for people who want to get something off their chest. That's not to say that Surryad doesn't talk at all - in the presence of a select few, Surryad will gladly complain about the day's work. But for the most part, he keeps to himself and only speaks when he has something good to say.

His parents raised him with etiquette and Turns of observation has given Surryad a quick mind and a sharper tongue when provoked. He knows how to defend himself in a fight and isn't scared to go to blows. But Surryad isn't one to start fights and will often ignore a problem until it comes to that. For fun, Surryad likes to be outdoors - stargazing, swimming, hiking. When it comes to making decisions, if Surryad doesn't know what he wants, he will balance all the options before deciding and sticks with it stubbornly.

History of Persona:
Surryad has been at Emerald Falls Hold all of his life. The only son of Sarrad and Yana, he was expected to follow in his father's footsteps as being a worker for the Hold. Surryad learned various tricks of the trades growing up - he knows good planting soil, how to tan leather, how to write his alphabet (and minimally read), how to identify edible plants, etc. but he's the master of none.

A quiet child growing up, Surryad loved runners and before he worked the fields, he spent all his free at the stables, hoping to become a beastcrafter or stablehand. His father however kept him from fostering those dreams too much, always pointing out the financial hardship of the family and how it was Surryad's duty to repay the Lord Holder for his generosity with a lifetime of hard work.

So Surryad learned what he could, occasionally staring at the stars and wishing for more, and one day he got the chance at more, when a Searchrider appeared at his Hold and found Surryad worthy. And the risk paid off, with Eldoranth selecting S'ryad as his own just a few months before the boy turned nineteen.

Description of Dragon:
Eldoranth is a milk chocolate brown all over with darker hues to his belly and ridges. Still growing, he is estimated to be a medium sized brown as an adult.

Eldoranth is a curious, outgoing dragon, a near foil to his rider's previous introverted self. But Eldoranth is good for S'ryad and they both are happy to explore the world together and learn how Weyrlife works.

Fero, Canine: aged 11, born m10 d2
Large and shaggy, Fero is liver spotted brown and white, with a white tipped tail and socks. He is well trained, with whistle and word commands, but his only breach in conduct is his barking habit when strangers visit.
