Physical Description of Persona:
A short, compact and sturdy looking boy, Dannoty is quite strong. He has hands and feet which seem a bit large for his frame promising that he will not always be able to call himself short, rather like a canine pup. A good growth spurt is all he needs to even out his proportions. His hair is a dusty sort of blond and his eyes are dark brown and set wide on his oval shaped face which still has just a bit of baby fat around the edges. His voice is just starting to crack, signaling that everything is about to change for him physically. Which goes well with the other changes in his life.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Dannoty seems sullen to most, only speaking when spoken to and reluctant to make friends as well as just skirting the edge of disrespectful with the adults in charge of him. This is because he doesn't really know how to make friends with anyone. Not that he doesn't know how to be friends, he just has never had to befriend anyone before. Nor is he keen to make friends with someone only to lose them for some reason. Also, he doesn't feel like he has any say in anything except in how he behaves. He knows better than to purposefully misbehave, but he displays his general dissatisfaction with his lot in life by being as unpleasant as he can without getting into trouble.

For anyone who might brave this rocky emotional exterior, there's a loyal and brave friend waiting who'll do anything for the people he cares about, a sharp mind and a creative spirit.

History of Persona:
Dannoty is the only son in a family of three children and is nine and eleven turns older than his sisters. His parents, a pair of workers in one of the Vintner Hall's outlaying vineyards, had given up on having more children than him when they were surprised by one pregnancy after another. The vineyard he grew up in was worked by five families and, starting at the age of ten, every child was expected to help part time, especially during certain times of the year when even the children as young as six or seven were pulled in. Everything revolved around the vines, from meals to harper lessons to play time.

Growing up, Dannoty was close with many of his age mates. Especially as, until he was nine, he didn't have any brothers or sisters. His best friend though was a boy a turn older than him named Krylin and they were inseparable. Krylin was the only one in the entire holding who knew about Dannoty's love of drawing. Dannoty's parents were not interested In the boy's frivolous games, as they saw it, and the other children thought sitting around and marking things with burned sticks was too boring a pastime to waste their limited playtime on. But, Krylin was impressed with his friend's talent and liked to watch him draw anything from interesting piles of rocks to pictures of people working in the vineyard.

The Harper, who was only able to come to their out of the way holding once a month for a sevenday at a time, and then had to compete with the vines for the children's time, had his hands full trying to make sure that the children could all read and write and knew the basic songs. He didn't have time to notice Dannoty's drawing. He did, however, notice Krylin's remarkable musical skill for a boy his age. Everyone noticed that, especially at the end of the day when the tired adults and older children enjoyed their meal with a bit of entertainment. It was no surprise when Krylin's father told him a few months before he turned twelve that he'd be going to the Harper Hall to apprentice.

Dannoty's father, who had saved for turns to pay for his son's apprenticeship, made it plain that his boy would be apprenticing at the Vintner Hall and that was that. When Krylin left to go to the Harper Hall, both boys knew it would be a long time before they'd get to see each other again. After that, Dannoty began acting out. He didn't want to be a Vintner apprentice; he didn't care a bit about the vines his family's life revolved around.
