Shanel is slim and dainty, with small hands and feet and a narrow face ending in a pointed chin. She stands at 5'6. She wears her dark hair just past should length and always neat. Her eyes are blue and framed by dark lashes. She prefers simple clothes, generally skirts and dresses which fall to her feet. She's a modest holder girl, through and through.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Shanel looks like a weak girl, but her small stature belies an inner strength she's had to draw in over the last turn. She's a hard worker and has a good memory for numbers, names and facts.

History of Persona:
Shanel was born in a small seahold, the youngest child of a large family. Her parents thought their childbearing days were over, so she was a pleasant surprise. Given her mother's age, it was little surprise that Shanel was born early and small. She was a fighter, thriving from the start.

At seventeen, a young man from a distant hold asked for her hand in marriage. He seemed nice enough and a hard worker, so her parents agreed. They were married within the sevenday and travelled to his hold. Everything was fine for the first couple of months, but Reyer became more and more controlling. He didn't like her speaking to other men, he started dictating what she cooked, bought and wear. When she fell pregnant he demanded to know whether or not it was his. She insisted it was. When she turned violent, she fled, determined to protect herself and her baby.
