N'vanik

N'vanik

G'len's eyes opened slowly, a satiated feeling permeating his body. Tobereth was a warm presence in his mind as she slept. His life had been busier than usual the past sevendays with the weyrlings and it was nice to be able to relax in the middle of the day. His logical side knew that, mating flight or no, he had a lot of work to do, but he wasn't quite ready to move yet.

As he stared up at the ceiling, he wondered whose dragon had caught his. He could feel a warm leg against him, and what felt like a hand touching his shoulder. If a blue had caught Tobereth, he wasn't sure he would be able to resist some more fun. Unfortunately, Tobereth's large side made a bronze or brownrider much more likely to be sharing the bed. After a few moments of thought, he turned his head enough to see who it was. A giggle escaped G'len's lips.

His bedmate groaned. "Whas funny?" he muttered.

The giggle turned into a laugh. "It's you! Again!" Obviously Loseth did well in mating flights. He had caught the senior gold. But, what were the odds of him catching Tobereth twice in a row?

N'vanik finally opened his eyes. He sighed and shook his head. "Loseth!"

}:Tobereth knows I am the best,:{ was the dragon's smug reply.

"Dragons and their egos," N'vanik muttered.

"He should feel proud," the greenrider said, not laughing anymore but with a wide smile on his face. "Tobereth made him work for it." It had been a good flight, from what he could remember.

"Yeah, we sure had a time keepin up." N'vanik shifted, feeling a pleasant weight in his body. He wouldn't mind going back to sleep for a while.

"You know, if I were a woman, I might think you had a secret crush on me."

N'vanik frowned, but his expression quickly turned into a smirk. "Maybe I do anyway."

"Ha! I can't say I would mind. Maybe then we'd be acting instead of talking." Even though he knew they were just joking, the greenrider wished he could work off some flight lust before getting back to work.

"If you were a woman ... or if my imagination was a whole lot better." N'vanik chuckled.

G'len smiled at the thought, trying to picture himself as a woman. "Maybe if we were in the dark?" he suggested.

"That might work ... until I touched the wrong thing." If it had to be a man, at least it was someone like G'len, and not a holdbred boy that grabbed his clothes and ran off like they'd done something wrong.

"That would be quite a shock." The greenrider slowly turned onto his back, sore muscles protesting at the movement.

"Ruins the whole mood." N'vanik knew he would need to get up soon, but lethargy was still winning out over lust for the moment.

G'len grunted in agreement, trying his best not to think of everything he needed to do. Post-flight chatting could only last for so long. "Can't you send out an order to the Weyr to give everyone the rest of the day off?"

He snorted. "That sounds like a great idea. If I did that every time I wanted to, though, nothing would get done around here."

The greenrider made a noncommittal noise, not wanting to give in to the Weyrleader's rationality.

"If it wasn't for the weyrlings and being short a Weyrlingmaster, I'd give you the rest of the day off." N'vanik patted the man's arm, the casual touch turning into a caress.

G'len's heartbeat quickened, his body immediately reacting to the touch. Shards, if only...but, it was not to be. "That's some consolation," he replied. "I really should get going though, before..." **I throw myself at your, or beg,** "you know." He did not move quite yet though, as he tried to get his body to calm back down.

"Sharding flight lust." N'vanik rolled out of bed and went searching for his clothes, trying to ignore his own body's reaction. "Don't feel bad about taking another candlemark to burn this off."

"Aye, I might." Trying to keep his eyes away from N'vanik's body, G'len was glad to see most of his clothes were nearby. He quickly slipped his shirt on.

"Until next time, huh?" N'vanik yanked on his pants.

"It's a date."
