Rorela knew what was coming the moment that her moods,
already mercurial, began to become more extreme. She almost
pitied her wingmates, but the majority of them knew that it was
close to time and were a bit more understanding of her unexpected
flashes of temper. It had gotten to the point that her skin seemed
like it was crawling with frustration that Upinth finally elected to end
her torment.

With a shriek, Upinth announced her intentions, flaring slender wings
and burst forth from Rorela's weyr with shrill cries. Rorela darted from
her weyr, finally smiling widely. **About time! ** She ran to the flight
area, chest heaving.

}: Mine! :{ Nirreth roared possessively, leaving his ledge and heading
towards the Mating grounds. He ignored his rider's grumbles about
interruptions. G'nir hurried after him, having to take the stairs.
Galerith declared his intention to chase and catch too.

Jayth and his rider were of two minds when they found out that Upinth
was rising. R'axe happily dropped what he had been working on and
headed instead in the direction of the green's rider. Who wouldn't
like to have a piece of the sweet little Wingthird?

W'ser nearly groaned when he felt Branth's decision to join in on the
flight. **It is not like you will win.** He told his brown, although
he didn't add in the other thought, **Why bother?**

}:I will chase!:{ Branth declared to his rider anyway.

He wasn't the only rider moaning. S'vin dragged his feet every step of
the way. Why didn't his little Kadeth ever chase the male ridden
greens? Life was so unfair.

D'ale and K'ale were having a meal together when it struck them at the
same time. They looked at each other and D'ale smiled. "Good Luck," he
said and put down his fork.

"You too," said K'ale then he bolted for the door.

Haloth bellowed from the heights at Nirreth's roar. }:Mine!:{ he
challenged the older bronze. N'call hurried to the flight rooms with a smile.

Jodeth found it amusing that all the bronzes seemed to think that
Upinth would be theirs. The brown had upset them before and he would
again. He wasn't flashy or showy but he was strong, steady, and cared
for his mates. He didn't have to prove himself like Branth seemed to
either. Trying to get close enough to her, his eyes whirled faster and
he began to feel the lust taking over.

**So you intend to chase, do you?** P'nal had been at the Weyr for many
turns so it wasn't as if they hadn't chased the greenpair before. This was
the first time after they had been working together though. His professional
life and his personal life had a habit of intersecting, try as he might.
Still, this was Jodeth's time, not his. Making his way down to the cots,
he saw the crowd already forming and nodded to some of them easily.
M'shan and Juth joined the chasers too. Juth's recent win had made the
brown even more eager to chase.

Rademerth was full of confidence after his first win and he was
chasing practically every green that rose. J'kri could only laugh and
shake his head as the blue crowed about himself and tried more of his
recently learned flirting on Upinth. Rorela... yes he'd definitely
like share a flight with her.

Upinth preened visibly under the stares of the males that surrounded
her. She peered at them with satisfaction, the green arching her body
and circling in place to eye them before she made a move to lift into
the air. Flicking her tail, she suddenly leapt into the air, leaving
behind a cloud of chill dust in her wake. }: Who can catch? Try to
keep up, boys! :{ She gave a saucy shrill and darted upwards.

Rorela made it to the flight rooms, her face flushed with
anticipation. She saw P'nal, nodded and then blinked at G'nir. He'd
never attended one of her flights. Well…perhaps she had made an
impression on him after all. Her eyes swung to the others, winking at
N'call and M'shan, blowing a kiss to R'axe and wiggling her fingers at
both D'ale and K'ale. W'ser got a grin and S'avn a chuckle before,
without embarrassment, she stripped and flung her clothes at the men
with teasing flicks of her fingers.

R'axe's eyebrows shot up into his hairline as a grin crossed his
face. Oh yes! This was his kind of flight! The moment clothes started
coming off was always a good indicator, in R'axe's opinion, of a green
flight that he _wanted_ to win.

Jayth was just as smitten with Upinth as he followed her into the
skies. The blue did not have a moment to be intimidated by the larger
dragons, nor even the Weyrleader himself, he could only concentrate on
the beautiful lady before him.

The Weyrdragonhealer found the corner of his lips twitching upward at
Rorela's strip tease. Flights were always more fun when the women
weren't prudish or stuck on some holdbred notion of only being caught
by a weyrmate.

Branth brushed past Jayth with no preamble. Despite having seen many a
green be flown by Jodeth, Branth was determined to at least give it
his best try.

Upinth was a playful green which made her more unpredictable. That was
what made the chase interesting. Jodeth gloried in her as he took off after
her. The brown's eyes whirled quickly, lust taking over. P'nal's eyes saw the
green streak and couldn't help but follow it. He strained toward her, but knew
he could have plenty of strength later to stop her from falling.

Nirreth didn't waste any time going after Upinth. He couldn't really
understand why his rider had kept him away from her Flights earlier.
She was fun, good company and challenge to catch.

Sh'lua chuckled and caught a tossed piece of her clothes. He soon lost
conscious thought merging with Galerith.

Imalkyth took to the sky right after Upinth and K'ale edged a little
closer to the rider. Naked wasn't at all bad in his opinion but that
would matter less than nothing if they caught her.

Torerath wasn't far behind the others though he was stuck pretty much
in the middle of the pack. HIs experience would bring him to the fore
at the right time so he relaxed and watch the glowing green dance
across the sky.

N'call winked back at the lovely rider and Haloth crooned his
appreciation of the preening green before she launched herself. }:I
will fly you well little Upinth:{ he claimed.

Just before his mind merged with his dragon's, J'kri caught sight of
R'axe on the other side of the circle. **Good luck, Rademerth. But I
really wouldn't mind losing.** He licked his lips before his attention
snapped back to Rorela. Rademerth easily passed bronzes and browns and
even blues, though there were other blues smaller and faster than him.
}:You are lovely, Upinth. I will fly you well!:{

Juth was late to join the chase so the young brown was trailing behind
right from the start. His mind with Juth, M'shan almost walked into someone
when he joined the circle of men around Rorela.

Upinth darted upwards even higher, letting the sun gleam over her hide
and the glow of the green strengthened. Like her rider, she was
playful, rarely serious and teasing to those who chased her. }: Keep
up, slowpokes! None of you have shown you want me enough yet! :{ The
little green knew who her rider might have preferred, but it was
solely her choice now. She gave a taunting bugle and spun in a tight
spiral, her wings tight against her body as she dove and then brought
herself up with a display of acrobatics that may have strained her
endurance, but was dazzling.

Rorela flung her arms out in mimicry of what her green was doing,
fully engulfed by Upinth's desires and feeling nothing but need. The
tiny woman crooked a finger at the riders around her daring them to
come closer, to jostle together, to catch her.

Sending a bugle in her direction, the brown let her know he was
impressed properly. He could never do things like that-he was no green
and no fool. Turning on a wingtip, he changed direction to accommodate
for her spinning. Jodeth knew her strength and ached to twine with
her. Falling with her would be like diving into good wine. Pulling
those scents and tastes from his rider's mind, he edged out a blue
that got in his way.

Branth was so tired of losing mating flights and his determination to
win had never been higher. He stayed near the green dragon, shadowing
her every movement.

Jayth could feel R'axe's lust for Upinth's daughter and it only fueled
him to work harder, bugling pleasantries to the green while showing
off his agility by following after her every move.

Rademerth shot after her, feeling the first tug of weariness. He
needed to catch her soon. }:You are skilled, a great flier. Choose me
and I will show you I am the best!:{ He bugled, full of desire for the
agile green. J'kri reached for Rorela, pushing past another rider.

Nirreth push onwards, ignoring her twist and following her general
direction. It meant that sometimes he fell behand and sometimes she
was suddenly right in front of him. So tantalizingly close and still
unreachable. He hoped she would wear herself down, he had plenty of
strenght left.

Galerith bid his time, the experienced blue was patient. Juth, over
eager as a young dragon can, was wasting his strenght in trying to
follow her closely and in attempts to impress her with his flying
skills.

Upinth's aerial acrobatics tired her out quickly and the little green
peered behind her with interest. She was ready to be twined, but with
who? Some of them were crooning pleasantries, but there was one that
drew her attention in particular. This one didn't flower her with
words, he flew with sheer determination. Upinth crooned and
backwinged, sidling up to Branth. }: Twine with me, Branth. :{

Branth bugled his triumph as he wasted no time in twining necks with
Upinth and locking their talons together. On the ground W'ser followed
suit. Normally a very faithful weyrmate to Sasima, W'ser did not
hesitate under the draw of the mating flight as he wrapped his arms
around Rorela.

Nirreth bellowed his disappointment while Galerith took the losing
more stoically. You couldn't win all the time, although he certainly
tried.

In the haze of Rademerth's disappointment and lust, J'kri stumbled
across the circle toward R'axe. "You!" he said hoarsely.

Rorela wrapped her arms around W'ser's neck with a low groan. She didn't
know the man well, but honestly did not care. As Branth twined with Upinth,
all thought fled.
