The weyrlings get a tour of available weyrs. L'cor gets a visitor to his new weyr - his friend Oria. The weyrlings take their first jumps /between/ and one of them is lost. D'naz takes it hard.
Cyradis and D'hol still have a lot of tension between them. Cyradis confides to K'deren that one of her girls was fathered by D'hol and she never told him. Meledei talks to D'hol and gets him to share just a bit.
F'aen's Scarleth has her first Flight and is caught by D'naz's blue. The two of them enjoy each other afterwards. Their relationship seems to be growing quickly. F'aen comforts D'naz after the loss of the weyrling.
The dolphineers warn the Weyr of an incoming hurricane.
U'kaiah comes to Tavia when she needs him, but then rushes off for Aileyan's Flight! The two discuss it afterwards and settle things. Tavia still wants to move to Dragonsfall. Cyradis and Hygalia chat about the couple.
N'vanik and Qorri interrogate the mysterious young man that calls himself "Amitko". N'vanik agrees to let him stay. Vandor makes his rounds and plays checkers with the wounded Jenackt.
Meledei talks to Z'ku to let him know she's with T'nom. Z'ku is too hurt to be around her. Pierka is jealous of T'nom and Meledei as well, her feelings made more complicated by the fact that she's pregnant with T'nom's baby. When Pierka tells him, they argue. Meledei's reaction to the news is surprisingly positive.
N'vanik is also going to be a father, which he found out a River Bluff's Hatching. He tells Talryne and the news brings up painful memories and fear. N'vanik talks to R'enh about Rhosyn's pregnancy.
N'vanik wins Pierka's flight and they have a pleasant time afterwards. She lets him know she's pregnant, so she'll be leaving his Wing for a while.
Cyradis and N'vanik talk about their worries for the upcoming Clutch. With such a young sire, it might be small. Qorri worries as well, wondering if Meledei's choices influenced the Flight.
Cyradis speaks with Jeyme about getting experience before her first Flight. Cyradis offers some men as possibilities, but Jeyme already has someone in mind! She goes to D'hol for her first sexual experience and both have a wonderful time.
Meledei asks Cyradis for more responsibility. The young goldrider catches up with her friend Cosani. Cosani cheers up R'enh in the best way she knows how.
