Physical Description of Persona:
Taller than his father by a couple of inches, Ri'len stands a full six feet in height. He is lean but quite muscular thanks to his hard work upon the hold and with the runners. He has black hair that's mostly straight save for one curl above his forehead. He has large blue eyes, high cheekbones, a chiseled nose and square chin. His smile is what most women would agree is his best feature, wide and bright it almost is always reflected in his eyes. His legs and arms are long, his hands large, but those calloused hands are also very gentle.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Serend had always been a rather quiet man and in some ways Ri'len has taken after him. When meeting new people he doesn't tend to say much, especially around those of the opposite gender. He's a gentleman, of the sort that refuses to lift a hand to a woman. He is polite and generous, particularly when it comes to family. He doesn't like conflict and would prefer to avoid it though if he must, he will deal with it. He tends to be logical in his approach though occasionally his heart might get the best of him.

History of Persona:
Born and raised at Willet Grove Hold, Railen is the eldest child and only son of his father, Serend, and his mother, Karai. From as far back as he can remember, he was trained as father's heir. Willet Grove was a small hold, but his father held high hopes for its growth and prosperity.

Railen's life has known very little outside Willet grove. When he was fifteen, he did have the chance to go to Dolphin Cove to visit a friend who was standing at the next hatching. He stayed there for a sevenday and actually got to watch the hatching, though his friend didn't impress.

Beyond that, Railen basically stayed at Willet Grove, only going to the major Hold from time to time on various business ventures with his father. Runners was Willet's Specialty and his father contines to work on improving his bloodlines. Railen enjoyed his work.

When Railen was nineteen, his parents announced that they had worked out a contract with another minor holder for a prospective spouse. Railen and his parents visited Green Bend and brought Sorsha back with them as a Foster. Railen had liked her well enough when they met, but as he got to spend more time with her, he found himself falling in love with her. The contract had been kept secret, but the young man felt that Sorsha should know the truth and told her. After that, they declared their love for one another and Railen insisted that the contract be finalised. It was also during this time that his sister, Lenlee, was Searched.

The two were planning to return to Green Bend to have the marriage performed when Sorsha began having nightmares involving a dragonet dying on the sands because she was not there. More than anything, Railen wanted Sorsha to be happy. So, he insisted that she go back to the Weyr - and Railen went with her.

While at the Weyr, Railen found out about the lack of manpower in the Wings and how there was hope that more older candidates would impress so they could go into the fighting wings as soon as they graduated. Railen decided to approach the Weyrwoman and request that he be able to stand. Permission was granted and he, along with Sorsha, waited for the hatching to see what fate handed them.

At the hatching, Railen impressed a bronze, becoming Ri'len. Monilath has changed his future forever, but Ri'len has no regrets.

Monilath's colour is rich with a hint of reddish tone. The colour deepens over his wings, casting a brilliant shadow over the rest of him. He is quite large, the biggest of the clutch. As far as dragons go, he is quiet, contemplative, and very gentle.
