Description: T'kob and the weyrlings chat while their dragons play.
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 2, day 20 of Turn 5

"Evening you two." T'kob greeted the junior weyrlings with a warm smile as he and Embereth joined them and their dragons on the beach. "Sorsha and Ri'len, right?"

"Right." Sorsha replied with a grin as she gave the new Weyrlingmaster a little wave. She was somewhat impressed he remembered their names, he'd only been at Dolphin Cove a few days and had only attended two of the junior classes in that time.

Ri'len nodded politely and respectfully to T'kob but remained silent. He eyed the older man in curiosity rather than in disrespect, simply seeming to take him in.

"Embereth was wanting to take a swim, do your two like to swim?" He'd heard about these two, the married holdbred couple that had both Impressed. They were a oddity, but they both seemed to be handling weyrlinghood well enough.

"Monilath likes the water." Maybe not as much as some other dragons did, but he found swims pleasant. Ri'len liked to swim as well and it was neat to be able to do so with his lifemate.

"Do you want to swim with Embereth?" Sorsha asked out loud to her green.

}:I will swim with him, but he better not splash me. :{ Roseth replied primly as she left Sorsha's side and stepped slowly into the calm water.

Sorsha giggled and relayed the message to both boys.

T'kob laughed and gave his lifemate a pat as he walked passed him and entered the water as well. "I'll never stop being amazed at the different personalities the dragons have. Embereth will no doubt be disappointed if he _doesn't_ get splashed. Is that young bronze more of the playful type?"

"He can be." More so than Roseth anyway, Ri'len noted silently. Monilath lazed down to the water and lowered himself into it. He snorted, sending a fine mist into the air. "He'll probably be up for a splashing match if Embereth is interested."

"I think Embereth would swamp those two if he got into an actual match." T'kob replied easily, "Do you have many dolphins come up here, or do they stay mostly down at the Hall?"

"We have seen them, but they haven't approached us." Ri'len had admired their forms gliding through the water, jumping into the air only to slide back into the depth without any seeming effort. They were beautiful and fun to watch as they frolicked and played with one another. "Have you met any?"

"Not from this pod, but yes, I was an apprentice dolphineer in my youth, so I've had the opportunity to get to know them some." T'kob explained as he watched Embereth submerge himself then pop back up between the two younger dragons. "I'm sure they'd be delighted to play with you, perhaps at the next restday we can all go down to the hall and introduce ourselves to the local pod."

Sorsha grinned as she looked over at Ri'len, "That sounds like alot of fun to me."

"It does." Ri'len had never met a dolphin before. He'd heard they were smart, but he wondered how smart. "Did you have a partner when you were in the craft?"

T'kob shook his head, "I wasn't there long enough. I Impressed Embereth with less than a turn under my belt and you're usually a journeyman before you pair."

"Oh look at that rascal!" Sorsha interrupted as Roseth popped up out of the water and sent a spray of water all over the older bronze. "She deserves whatever retaliation she gets now!" She laughed as she watched the young green drop back into the water to get out of reach.

"She's in a playful mood today." Roseth could be quite insistent and moody, Ri'len was glad to see that her mood was taking a turn for the better. Monilath bugled to Roseth as he paddled in her direction.

Sorsha saw Roseth send a spray of water towards Monilath as well and then duck under, paddling happily away from the two bronzes. She could sense her smug satisfaction at having gotten them both, and also the excitement of knowing that they'll splash her back. "I've never seen her play with a fully grown dragon, she usually stays back with the other dragonets."

"She just getting to trust Embereth and feels comfortable with him." T'kob sent a wave of love to his bronze. He knew the big boy had been trying very hard these last few days to get to know each of the young dragons and he had obviously done very well.

Monilath dove downward and kicked up a large splash of water which drenched Roseth as he dove beneath her. He came back up, head popping above the water on the other side of her. "Monilath is getting into it too." Ri'len noted. The little bronze seemed content to hang back as well, not for lack of caring or being uncomfortable, evidently just preferring peace and quiet.

Roseth turned quickly, to avoid any more direct assaults by Monilath, and was unprepared when a intense spray shot at her from where Embereth had come up on her other side. Startled, and her fun at being the attacker over, she bugled her annoyance at the two males and made her way out of the water where she sat by herself away from the group of humans.

"Well, I guess _that_ fun's over." Sorsha replied a bit embarrassed. As much as she loved her little green, she could be quite moody.

Monilath cried out to her and swam toward the shore after her. Ri'len shook his head. "It's all right, she'll be fine in a bit." He draped his arm over Sorsha's shoulders and gave her a quick squeeze. "It's probably about time we got back anyway."

T'kob raised a brow as he saw the gesture, but didn't say anything as the arm quickly dropped. **Are the little ones okay?** He asked quickly to Embereth who was splashing out of the water as well.

}:Yes, they say their lifemates are happy when they are together and it makes them happy as well.:{ the bronze relayed.

**Check on them from time to time for me will you? They seem to be a levelheaded couple, but their dragons are still young and they could become easily confused.** T'kob asked his lifemate. When they needed every dragon, he didn't want to lose one or even two because of youthful indiscretions.

}They know I am here.:{ Embereth assured his rider as he spread his wings wide to let the water drip off of them as he rubbed his belly into the sand, soaking up the last of the heat trapped there as the sun dipped below the horizon.
